The renowned Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA) pulls out the stops with two matinee and one evening performance of its annual holiday musical extravaganza - featuring guest appearances by country music legend LeAnn Rimes and Broadway star Sheryl Lee Ralph, and led by guest conductor Tim Seelig, in his GMCLA debut - Saturday, December 18, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday, December 19, 2010, 3 p.m., at the Alex Theatre in Glendale. Some 150 choristers, resplendent in holiday finery, do Santa proud with a bundle of beloved seasonal works, and dazzling Twelve Days of Christmas 'Black-Light Puppet Spectacular.' The Ailey Extension presents a two-day Hip Hop and House intensive workshop at The Ailey Studios celebrating the 21st anniversary of Motivated On Precision Toward Outstanding Performance (MOPTOP), the popular dance group formed in the early 1990s. Dancers from Elite Force & Dance Fusion - including Link, Marjory, Buddha Stretch, Caleaf, Tony McGregor, Sekou, Tweetie, Hiro, Bobby Mileage and Ejoe - will lead aspiring dancers in specialized classes on December 17 - 18, culminating in a performance showcase with workshop participants and a panel discussion with the artists on December 18th at 8pm.

A spokesperson for the production stated that Mendoza 'would be going back into the production very soon,' in response. Reportedly, Mendoza underwent medical testing this week.

The lights have barely dimmed on Alliance Theater's production of Twist, Debbie Allen's New Orleans 1928 rendition of the Charles Dickens' classic, and the director/choreographer has already announced the Premier of The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker, her hilarious and culturally rich take on the perennial holiday classic.
