TV Guide Announces First Docu-Soap Series

TV Guide Network announced today that it has greenlit its first original reality docu-soap, 'The Nail Files,' created and produced by Sally Ann Salsano and 495 Productions, the team behind the mega-hit series 'Jersey Shore.' 'The Nail Files' stars Katie Cazorla, a 32-year-old entrepreneur who owns and operates Hollywood's fastest growing celebrity-filled nail salon, 'The Painted Nail,' all while juggling a relationship with 52-year-old Walter Afanasieff, a Grammy(R) award-winning music legend who's written and produced hits for Mariah Carey, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. The six-episode series will premiere on TV Guide Network in mid-2011.
Stars Support Service for TeenNick HALO Awards, 12/10

TeenNick, Nickelodeon's 24-hour TV network exclusively for and about teens and tweens, will partner with mega-stars Mariah Carey, Ashton Kutcher, Rosario Dawson and Wyclef Jean to recognize four deserving teens who are philanthropic leaders in their communities in the second annual TeenNick HALO Awards. Conceived, hosted and executive produced by TeenNick Chairman Nick Cannon, the hour-long special that honors real-life teens who are 'Helping And Leading Others' (HALO) will premiere Friday, Dec. 10, at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on TeenNick, followed by an encore on Nick at Nite at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). TeenNick partnered with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) to provide the grants and scholarships awarded to each HALO honoree.

On Monday, November 8th, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will honor Julie Andrews along with Grammy® Award Winners John Legend, John Mayer and The ASCAP Foundation. Paul Williams, legendary songwriter and President of The ASCAP Foundation, will accept on behalf of The Foundation. Additionally, Natasha Bedingfield, a member of the VH1 Save The Music Alumni Ambassador Group, is scheduled to perform and the program for the evening, presented by LG Mobile Phones, will celebrate music as a universal language that shapes our life stories and include a special tribute to the 45th Anniversary of Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music by Kristin Chenoweth. The festivities will be hosted by Broadway veteran and 30 Rock star Cheyenne Jackson.
