Cast Announced for Frontier Theatre Productions' THE LOVERS OF VIORNE

Today Frontier Theatre Productions announces the full cast for its first production of Marguerite Duras' The Lovers of Viorne in a translation by Barbara Bray, opening on 4 May, with a preview on 3 May, and running until 21 May.  James Roose-Evans directs Charlotte Cornwell (Claire), Kevin Trainor (Interrogator) and Martin Turner (Pierre Lannes).

Frontier Theatre Productions' Artistic Director James Roose-Evans today announces the company's first show - a production of Marguerite Duras's The Lovers Of Viorne which runs from 3 - 21 May at The Theatre Room, Frontier's new 55 seat chamber theatre in their headquarters at 6 Frederick's Place.  Roose-Evans directs Charlotte Cornwell as Claire with full casting to be announced shortly.

Clinton Hill cultural hub and OBIE award-winner JACK launches its winter/spring 2016 season with an a cappella opera set in Zimbabwe by composer Tanyaradzwa Tawengwa, a weekend of curated works by Modesto "Flako" Jimenez, the premiere of the dirty and bracing play Tom & Eliza, by Celine Song, the English-language premiere of Argentinian playwright Rafael Spregelburd's SPAM, The Geneva Project by Jennifer Harrison Newman, Antonio Ramos' Thirsty Mind, love and starvation sitting in a lonely tree and an exploration in minimalist/pop art performance by the No Face Performance Group.  JACK also engineers the return of Walter Dundervill's ARENA (which had two sold-out runs at JACK in 2014 and 2015).

First Look will take place at the Museum from January 9 through 18, 2015. “First Look reflects the breadth and adventurousness that defines the Museum,” said Chief Curator David Schwartz. “This year, we are expanding beyond programs in the Redstone Theater, with screenings in the Bartos Screening Room, and a newly commissioned large-scale video installation.” The Museum is also announcing a programming partnership with FIDMarseille, the cutting-edge documentary festival programmed under the leadership of Jean-Pierre Rehm.
