On Sunday night at the 6th annual #giveback concert, Broadway Unlocked raised $48,000 to benefit the Crime Victims Treatment Center at WNYC's The Greene Space.

The Actors Fund bestowed its Medal of Honor upon four artists last night at its annual gala. BroadwayWorld was on hand at the big event, and you can check out photos below!

Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today that the performance lineup for the sixth annual #giveback concert slated for Sunday, May 13 at 7.30pm at WNYC's The Greene Space (44 Charlton Street) has been updated.  Along with producers Kelly Weaver and Mike Borges, Broadway Unlocked is bringing Broadway favorites together to perform and raise funds for the Crime Victims Treatment Center, a not-for-profit organization committed to helping people heal from violent crime.  The live concert is directed by Nathan Tysen (Tuck Everlasting, Amelie).

Tony, Grammy, and Emmy Award-winning singer and actress Audra McDonald returned for her 7th appearance with the Celebrity Series on Friday night at Symphony Hall. The Dramatists Guild Institute is proud to announce the continuation of its second year of continuing education classes for writers.  The Dramatists Guild, after years of discussion, designed a curriculum of classes that would combine their playwriting and musical theater writing seminars into a variety of extended educational classes - anything from a long weekend to something more rigorous that is six to ten weeks in duration. The classes, taught through the Dramatists Guild Institute, are offered to Guild and non-Guild members, with Guild members receiving a significant reduction in tuition. All classes are taught by prominent educators and master teachers.
