National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced initial casting for the 30th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26, 2018 at New World Stages

Sierra Rein launched her much-anticipated debut solo cabaret show RUNNING IN PLACE at The Laurie Beechman Theater in April and May and earned raves for a performance that weaved together American Songbook gems, contemporary Broadway and pop, and new cabaret classics, in an inspiring rundown on dreaming against all odds. Directed by James Beaman with Musical Direction by Bill Zeffiro (with Matt Scharfglass on Bass and Rex Benincasa on Drums), RUNNING IN PLACE features compositions by Stephen Sondheim, Dave Frishberg, Jeff Blumenkrantz, Zina Goldrich & Marcy Heisler, Kander & Ebb, and more. Such terrific notices merited a return engagement so Sierra will be reprising RUNNING IN PLACE on Saturday, September 22 at 2 pm and Today, September 26 at 9:30 pm at The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street, Downstairs at the West Back Café, 212-695-6909).

The Festival events will kick off on Monday, October 22 with Thank You, 30!, a gala event to celebrate the 30th Annual Festival.

Single tickets to all productions in the 2018-2019 Children's Theatre of Cincinnati MainStage season at the Taft Theatre are available starting TODAY, Wednesday, August 22.

If you have kids, or just a love of children's theater, you may have noticed that TheaterWorksUSA-and, yes, after a rebranding, that is how to write it-is not presenting its free summer theater in New York this year. The program has happened almost every year since 1989, but not this one.

Teaching Young Artists, DLC's Professional Training Program, opens Junie B. Jones: the Musical tomorrow and runs through Wednesday, July 25th. The production will then tour throughout Central Maryland for the remainder of the summer season.

As the brand-new Interim Executive Producer of Theatre Arlington I am thrilled to announce our brand-new 2018-2019 season. We had to make some changes in our season due to national tours and licensing restrictions. One show change affects the balance of the season as a whole and gave me the opportunity to make new artistic choices.

New subscriptions to the 2018-2019 Children's Theatre of Cincinnati MainStage season at the Taft Theatre will be available starting today, Monday, June 4, 2018.  Subscriptions range from $43 to $103 for all four productions.  Single tickets go on sale August 31.

The popular intimate nightclub, The Sorting Room, returns this summer to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, delivering a compelling and eclectic mix of music, comedy and cabaret with nine diverse sessions from June 22 – July 21, 2018, 7 pm. The Sorting Room  transforms the Lovelace Studio Theater into a 140-seat custom built nightclub space that offers Los Angeles audiences a rare opportunity to experience some of the best and emerging talent in cabaret, live contemporary music, spoken word, and more.
