BroadwayWorld has learned that the previously announce revival of beloved musical West Side Story will begin previews on Dec. 10, 2019 and open February 6th at the Broadway Theatre.
As a part of the Merce Cunningham Centennial festivities throughout 2019, NYU Skirball will present In Conversation with Merce, a celebration of Cunningham's legacy through world premiere commissions of contemporary artists, running Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 at NYU Skirball.

New York Live Arts (Live Arts) to present the New York premiere of Netta Yerushalmy's Paramodernities, March 14-17, 2019, having commissioned the work as part of the Live Feed Residency Program. The complete six-part encyclopedic series is a multidisciplinary work that weaves theory and performance into a four-hour-long hybrid event. Yerushalmy and a cast of 20 dancers and scholars, ranging in age from 20 to 68, perform deconstructed installments of Nijinsky's “Sacre” (1913), Graham's “Night Journey” (1947), Ailey's “Revelations” (1960), a mix of Cunningham works “Rainforest,” “Sounddance”, “Points in Space”, “Beach Birds”, and “Ocean” (1968-1990), dance numbers from the 1969 Fosse's film “Sweet Charity”, and a response to Balanchine's “Agon” (1957) that includes none of the original choreography.

NYU Skirball will present the New York City premiere of Tere O'Connor's Long Run, playing for two performances on Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13 at 7:30 pm. The work features dancers: Simon Courchel, Marc Crousillat, Eleanor Hullihan, Emma Judkins, Joey Loto, Silas Riener, Lee Serle and Jin Ju Song-Begin. Costume design is by Strauss Bourque-LaFrance; lighting design by Michael O'Connor and a musical score created by O'Connor himself.

Cathy Weis Projects announces the spring 2018 season of Sundays on Broadway, an ongoing series of performances, film screenings, and discussions on Sunday evenings at WeisAcres. The spring season is jointly curated by dance artists Ishmael Houston-Jones, Jon Kinzel, Jennifer Lafferty, and Cathy Weis. All events begin at 6pm. $10 suggested donation at door. The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) has announced the winners of the 2016 Princess Grace Awards. The Annual Gala will continue the legacy of Princess Grace (Kelly) of Monaco, who helped emerging artists pursue their artistic goals during Her lifetime. In total, the Foundation is awarding over $1 million to artists in theater, dance, and film. In the presence of Their Serene Highnesses The Prince and The Princess of Monaco, this year's Gala will be held at Cipriani 25 Broadway on October 24, 2016. The evening will be co-chaired by Lisa and Richard Plepler, Sidney and Katia Toledano, and Gillian Murphy and Ethan Stiefel.
