Deadline.com reports today that Mandy Patinkin will team up with Claire Danes for a new Showtime drama series, Homeland. According to the report: 'Homeland centers on American POW Scott Brody, who returns home 10 years after going missing in Iraq, and Carrie Anderson (Danes), a driven CIA officer who suspects he might be plotting an attack on America. Patinkin will play the smart and politically savvy CIA Division Chief emeritus Saul Berenson who is Carrie's main champion in the intelligence upper echelon and her sounding board.'

'Cold Case' - Past sins resurface when Kathryn revisits a decade-old case after its shooting victim dies of her injuries. Attorney Lloyd Perlman (Mandy Patinkin) convinced Ronnie Sotto (Rick Gonzales) to plead guilty and serve time for the shooting years ago, but the moment the victim died, Sotto's assault charge became murder. Kathryn now struggles with trying a man the system has already reformed. Jimmy takes the case as a favor to Perlman, but soon starts to question Perlman's competence and whether Sotto was guilty at all, on 'The Whole Truth,' WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Anson Mount Replaces Glenn Fitzgerald in Classic Stage's THREE SISTERS; Opens 2/3

Anson Mount will assume the role of Solyony in the forthcoming production of Anton Chekhov's THREE SISTERS at Classic Stage Company, replacing Glenn Fitzgerald, who is withdrawing from the production due to a television project. Mount joins a cast that includes Gabe Bettio, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Josh Hamilton, Jessica Hecht, Marin Ireland, Paul Lazar, Roberta Maxwell, George Morfogen, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, James Patrick Nelson, Juliet Rylance, Peter Sarsgaard and Louis Zorich. Rehearsals begin tomorrow, Tuesday, December 14.
