Hybrid Cinema today announced the New York premiere of the feature length documentary Joffrey: Mavericks of American Dance at New York's Cinema Village on Friday, April 27, 2012 for a one week engagement with regular show times. The premiere weekend will include several engaging Q&As with the filmmakers and others immediately following the screenings. Panelists TBD.

Today, the spotlight falls upon Bonnie Keen, one of Nashville's most beloved entertainers, who this weekend lends her estimable talents to the staged reading of Christopher Davis and Frederick Richardson's Punchinello, a new family-friendly musical based upon the children's books of Max Lucado. The staged reading of Punchinello is set for Friday and Saturday nights, March 16 and 17, with a 7:30 p.m. curtain, in Wallace Chapel at Christ Church Nashville, 15354 Old Hickory Boulevard. (Tickets are $10, $5 for children under 12.)

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick, has announced that Greg Reiner will join the acclaimed Off-Broadway theater as its new Executive Director beginning March 19. Reiner comes to CSC after an extremely successful tenure as Executive Director of Tectonic Theater Project, where, among many other achievements, he produced the world premiere of The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later in 150 theaters on a single night, and oversaw the Tony nominated Broadway production of 33 Variations. Reiner succeeds Jessica R. Jenen, who departed CSC in the fall.

Platt, will be presented The Commercial Theater Institute's Robert Whitehead Award for "outstanding achievement in commercial theatre producing" at a reception at Sardi's on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. David Stone, Stuart Thompson, and Bob Wankel will present the award.

SHOWTIME has put together a powerful one-two punch on Sundays this fall with the premieres of its top-rated drama series' DEXTER and HOMELAND. On Sunday, September 30th, DEXTER will make its seventh season premiere at 9:00 PM ET/PT, followed by the highly-anticipated second season of the Golden Globe®-winning drama seriesHOMELAND at 10:00 PM ET/PT. 'Homeland' is based on a hit Israeli television show that was developed into a Golden Globe Award-winning American series by its executive producers and Showtime, marking the highest profile American transformation of an Israeli series to date.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Patti LuPone's latest concert, Patti LuPone: The Gypsy In My Soul, which she performs tonight, February 1, at the Overture Center in Madison, Wisconsin will be filmed for an HBO documentary special. Patrons of tonight's concert were alerted via an email today of the HBO filming.
