The National Playwrights Conference (NPC) at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center continues its 45th year with staged readings of House of Gold by Gregory Moss on July 16 at 8:15 pm and July 17 at 3:15 pm and Spoon Lake Blues by Josh Tobiessen on July 18 at 8:15 pm and July 19 at 3:15 pm.

Court Theatre continues its 2008/09 season with SITI Company's Radio Macbeth adapted from the play by Shakespeare and co-directed by SITI Company Artistic Director Anne Bogart and Darron L. West. The production will run November 6, 2008 - December 7, 2008 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue. The press opening will be Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.

Thomas, a successful businessman and the descendent of former slaves to the estate, has a plan to save the land: turn it into subdivisions and sell it to the white families fleeing the city. Wendy C. The actors include a mix of award-winning actors from stage and screen, seasoned O'Neill performers, and new talent.

Magic Theatre continues its 2007-08 Season of New Plays with a world premiere play by Pulitzer Prize-nominated playwright Rebecca Gilman, The Crowd You're In With directed by Gilman's long-time collaborator and Magic Theatre favorite Amy Glazer. The Crowd You're In With is a recipient of an Edgerton Foundation New American Plays Award and performs November 10 - December 9 at Magic's Sam Shepard Theatre
