Restoration, written by Claudia Shear and directed by Christopher Ashley opened at the New York Theatre Workshop this week on May 19, 2010, at 7:00pm. The production runs through Sunday, June 13. BroadwayWorld was on hand to celebrate the opening night, capturing the starry arrivals, curtain call and after party.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Restoration, written by Claudia Shear, and directed by Christopher Ashley, will begin performances Friday, April 30, at 8pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. Opening night is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at 7:00pm. The production runs through Sunday, June 13; single tickets are on sale Friday, April 16.

Against all odds, Los Angeles' El Portal Theatre celebrates 10 years of live theatre, following the rebuild of the historic movie venue, severely damaged by the Northridge Earthquake of 1994. The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has announced the nominees for the 2010 24th Annual MAC Awards. The ceremony honoring the nominees, will take place on May 4, 2010 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, and will be hosted by Sharon McNight. Leslie Uggams will be honored for Lifetime Achievement, with Board of Directors Awards being presented to Peter Leavy and playbill.com. The event will begin at 7:30pm. Doors open at 6:00pm. Lennie Watts will direct the evening, with Tracy Stark musical directing.
