Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston to Present THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, Casting Announced!

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will bring the bright lights of 1920's New York City to the stage with the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Thoroughly Modern Mille from July 7-17, 2016.  Millie will run for eight performances at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452).  Directed by Broadway veteran Cynthia Thole (Me and My Girl), Millie will star Gabrielle Carrubba (American Idol Season 11, Spring Awakening) as Millie Dillmount, a small-town girl who arrives in New York City to lead a thoroughly modern life. Millie will also feature Maryann Zschau (Nunsense National Tour) reprising her IRNE Award-winning role as Mrs. Meers (Reagle Music Theater 2006) and IRNE nominee Mark Linehan (Shrek The Musical, South Pacific) as Trevor Graydon.  This lavish musical is filled with fabulous flappers, eccentric New Yorkers and soaring musical numbers including "Forget About the Boy" and "Only In New York."

BWW Review: KIRK FREDERICK Launches his WRITE THAT DOWN! at ONE Archives

On Friday March 11 Kirk Frederick's new book Write That Down! The Comedy of Male Actress Charles Pierce was launched at ONE the Gay and Lesbian Archives at the USC Libraries on North Adams in downtown Los Angeles. The sellout event was a benefit for ONE Archives. There were scrumptious hors d'oeuvres, followed by a presentation, which included a video slide montage, a 5 minute film clip from Pierce's appearance, in the early 80s, on The Dick Cavett Show, and then an interview with Kirk Frederick by moderator/ USC professor of English Chris Freeman. Then came a Q and A with the audience and a book signing.

With book/lyrics by Debra Clinton and a score by Jason Marks, C roaker i s a colorful new take on the classic story of the F rog Prince by the Brothers Grimm. The show runs through April 17, with public performances every Friday through Sunday, and student matinees throughout the week. The show runs one hour and 20 minutes, and is best suited for children ages 5 and up.
