The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, National New Play Network, and Stage Directors & Choreographers Foundation have announced open applications for a fourth round of fellows of the National Directors Fellowship (NDF).

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF (Orlando Shakes) invites audiences to take a risk on new plays at PlayFest presented by Harriett's Charitable Trust (PlayFest 2017) from October 27 29, 2017 and November 3 5, 2017. Rehearsals have begun for AMERINDA (American Indian Artists) Inc.'s production of William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, directed by Madeline Sayet (Mohegan, with new songs written by Ty Defoe (Oneida/Ojibwe), previews begin Dec 2nd. 

Richmond Triangle Players, in association with Missing Bolts Productions Inc. (Blair Baker & Zac Kline artistic directors) and NoPassport Theatre Alliance and Press (Caridad Svich, founder) will present a staged reading of AFTER ORLANDO, two evenings of short plays in response to the shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

AFTER ORLANDO, directed by Wendy C. Goldberg, is an international theater action comprised of more than 70 short plays written in response to the tragic shooting at Pulse Nightclub on June 12, 2016.

Dixon Place presents WHEN WORDS AREN'T ENOUGH, a post-apocalyptic journey to resurrect laughter (inspired by Mohegan stories and western myths), written and directed by Madeline Sayet on Tuesday January 5th at 7:30 PM. 

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.
