Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Jake Boyd is set to sing in DUETS with The Write Teacher(s) at 54 BELOW, on May 2nd, at 9:30pm. Conceived and produced by Megan Minutillo (in association with thewriteteachers.com), with musical direction by Jacob Yates, the evening will feature music from across the musical theatre canon, pairing Broadway and Off Broadway performers with Broadway hopefuls.

BroadwayWorld is excited to announce the launch of an exclusive, new webseries- SCHOOL'D. Set to launch this May, the series focuses on helping students who are applying to college musical theater programs. "Not Just Another Coming Out Story," a new play by Maggie Keenan-Bolger will be presented as a reading on Tuesday, August 13th at 8PM to benefit Green Chimneys NYC, an organization fostering LGBT homeless kids who have been ejected from their homes because of their sexual orientation.

This week's featured composer is the one-and-only Joey Contreras! We are excited to share this video of his song Ready from our CEC concert at NYMF sung by the incredible quartet Lilli Cooper (Wicked), Eric Michael Krop (Godspell), Maddy Trumble (Mary Poppins) and Nic Rouleau (Book of Mormon).

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.
