Writers In Treatment will honor Carrie White, Hollywood hairdresser to the stars and the author of "Upper Cut,' with the 'Experience, Strength and Hope' Award on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Skirball Cultural Center. Ed Begley Jr. will host the event and actress Joanna Cassidy ("Body of Proof," "Six Feet Under") will present the award to Carrie White. The evening will also feature a hilarious performance by stand-up comedian Alonzo Bodden (winner of "Last Comic Standing," frequent guest on NPR's "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me") as well as a special guest appearance by actress and recovery advocate Mackenzie Phillips.

A site-specific MACBETH, Shakespeare's bloodiest tragedy, will be presented for a very limited engagement by Shelter Theatre Group, January 26th through January 30th, 2014, at The Church of Saint Teresa, located on Rutgers Street between East Broadway and Henry Street. Sukie & Sue: Their Story is the only play ever written by LaChiusa, who has received five Tony Award nominations for his musicals. Sukie & Sue: Their Story began previews on April 21, and opening is set for tonight, April 28 at 8pm. The engagement will run through Sunday, June 3.

TV Land announced today that the beloved casts of 'Laverne & Shirley' (Penny Marshall, Cindy Williams, Michael McKean and David L. Lander) and 'One Day At A Time' (Valerie Bertinelli, Bonnie Franklin, Mackenzie Phillips, Glenn Scarpelli and Pat Harrington Jr.) as well as pop culture phenomenon 'Pee-wee's Playhouse' will be honored at the 'TV Land Awards' 10th Anniversary celebration. The star-studded awards show, which honors classic television, film and music icons, will be held at the Lexington Avenue Armory at Gramercy Park on Saturday, April 14th and air on Sunday, April 29th at 9pm ET/PT. More honorees will be announced in coming weeks. They join previously announced honoree Aretha Franklin (Music Icon Award) and second-time host Kelly Ripa for the special decade ceremony.
