Following two sold-out runs, The Flea Theater is proud to announce Cycle 3 of #serials@theflea, the raucous late night play competition featuring The Bats and some of NYC's hottest young playwrights. Live music and free beer from official sponsor Sixpoint Brewery help fuel this weekly event. The last performance will take place on August 20. All tickets are only $10.
Asolo Repertory Theatre Presents ASOLO REDUX, 10/4

Asolo Repertory Theatre presents an FSU/Asolo Conservatory production of the New Stages project HAMLET REDUX, a 60 minute adaptation from the play by William Shakespeare. As a second successful touring season begins, New Stages will reach out to schools, organizations and creative venues across the state. New this year: Two companies will tour, creating more opportunities for performances and dialogue within our communities. This new adaptation by Stephanie Fleischmann and Dmitry Troyanovsky and directed by Dmitry Troyanovsky, embarks on a one month-plus tour on October 4th; special Opening Night public performances in the Cook Theatre will be on October 6th at 6 pm & 8:30 pm.

This year's collection of shows from Gemini CollisionWorks, The Collisionworks 2011: At The Ends (aka 3 Terminal Plays or 3 Ultimate Plays), focuses on finality, mortality, and the conclusion of all things, with the caveat that each tragic ending can bring the possibility of a glorious new beginning. These two plays, at turns both funny and heartbreaking, face the reality of their terminal endings with a smile and the belief that there will always be someone left to carry on, remember history, and start again.

The country is ruled by geographic/corporate fiefdoms that can't hold the place together anymore (and a practically non-existent government), with a populace so overwhelmed by technological future shock and infotaining bread & circuses that it has lapsed into near-catatonia, and can no longer actually do anything anymore.
