ASTEP/Artists Striving to End Poverty announces its starry Seventh Annual New York City Christmas: A Concert to Benefit ASTEP, taking place on Monday, December 14 at 7:00 PM at Joe's Pub at The Public in New York City with a special silent auction, including items from HAMILTON, FINDING NEVERLAND, and LION KING to list a few.

Sing Out, Louise! Productions and ATA have announced that the new musical Allegiance, with music & lyrics by Jay Kuo, will be preserved with an original cast album to be recorded on Monday, December 7, 2015 at MSR Studios.  The recording will be produced by Lynne Shankel & Joel Moss for Sing Out, Louise! Productions.  Principal Allegiance cast members Lea Salonga, George Takei, Telly Leung, Katie Rose Clarke and Michael K. Lee will be joined by the entire company for the studio session, which will include original recordings of tracks such as "Wishes on the Wind," "What Makes a Man," "With You," "Stronger Than Before," and Salonga's Act One showstopper "Higher," among many others.  The album is scheduled to be released digitally on January 30, 2016.  For more information, visit www.AllegianceMusical.com.

The new American musical Allegiance officially opened last night, November 8, at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street, starring Tony and Olivier Award winner Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables) in her long-awaited return to Broadway, 'Star Trek' icon George Takei in his Broadway debut at age 78, and Broadway and 'Glee' star Telly Leung. Allegiance is the vibrant and unforgettable story of one family's resilience in the face of seemingly-insurmountable odds, inspired by Takei's real-life experience as a Japanese American during World War II. Lorenzo Thione and Andrew Treagus, producers of the upcoming Broadway musical Allegiance starring Lea Salonga and George Takei, release their new docuseries Allegiance: Trek to Broadwa todayy, which chronicles the musical's journey to Broadway, directly to their fans exclusively on Facebook. The first of this ten-part docuseries is now available with new bimonthly installments through December 2015. TUTS Underground, in association with Third Coast Creative, presents LMNOP - A New Muzical, through April 19 in Zilkha Hall at The Hobby Center. Chaos arises when letters begin to fall from a town monument and government officials ban them one by one. The community depends on the strength of a determined teenage girl to fight for their freedom of speech. This unique musical is part romance, part clever word game and part adult fable that reminds us of how precious our liberties are and how important it is to have the courage to stand up for what we believe. Tyce Green and Holland Vavra are town for the show and their ADHD gets the best of them backstage.
