La Jolla Playhouse has announced the casts and creative teams for its upcoming productions of Tribes (June 25 - July 21 in the Mandell Weiss Forum), Sideways (July 16 - August 18 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre) and Neva (June 26 - 30 in the Theodore and Adele Shank Theatre).
Arizona Theatre Company's Artistic Director David Ira Goldstein Resigns

Arizona Theatre Company announced today that David Ira Goldstein, ATC's Artistic Director since 1992, will be leaving the Company in December of 2013. In his 21 seasons as artistic director, Goldstein led the Company to unprecedented levels of attendance, critical acclaim, community support, educational outreach and national prominence. During his tenure, he produced over 200 plays, workshops, readings and presentations in Phoenix and Tucson, while personally directing more than 40 mainstage productions ranging from classics to new plays to musicals.
James Judd Named New Music Director of The Little Orchestra Society

After an extensive international search, The Little Orchestra Society is excited to announce the appointment of James Judd as its new Music Director, effective June 1st. Mr. Judd will work closely with The Little Orchestra Society's Executive Director Joanne Bernstein-Cohen and its Board to advance the Orchestra's mission of producing innovative and extraordinary classical music programming for audiences of all ages. Mr. Judd becomes only the third Music Director of The Little Orchestra Society in its 65-year history.

Singer, concert pianist, and composer Oksana Grigorieva is taking her artistic talent in a new direction. On June 4 she will be releasing nationwide an EP titled Love to Dance that will include several new original tracks as well as a remix. In advance of the EP release she will be releasing her first single titled “Party” on May 7.
Culture Project Names Theatre After Lynn Redgrave; Ceremony Tonight

Culture Project will rename their mainstage theatre, currently known as 45 Bleecker Street, the Lynn Redgrave Theatre this June. The announcement was made onstage by Mr. Buchman during the opening night curtain call for Culture Project's current production of Shaheed: The Dream and Death of Benazir Bhutto. A naming ceremony and commemorative gala in honor of the late Ms. Redgrave will take place today, June 3, 2013 at Stage 48 (605 West 48th Street, New York City). Honorary Chairs for the evening are Vanessa Redgrave, Liam Neeson, and Ms. Redgrave's three children Annabel Clark, Ben Clark, and Pema Clark.
Parade Productions to Stage Premiere Reading of THE GIFT, 7/1

Parade Productions will present a premiere reading of award-winning South Florida playwright/director Michael Leeds' new work, The Gift. The reading will take place on July 1st at 7:30 p.m., at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center's Studio Theatre in Boca Raton and will feature actors Clay Cartland and Lindsey Forgey.

The Denver Center Theatre Company's (DCTC) world premiere production of SENSE & SENSIBILITY THE MUSICAL, with book and lyrics by Jeffrey Haddow and music by Neal Hampton, is being staged by director and choreographer Marcia Milgrom Dodge, whose recent Broadway revival of Ragtime received seven Tony Award nominations. SENSE & SENSIBILITY THE MUSICAL is currently running in its world premiere production through tonight, May 26, 2013. Starring in the pivotal sister roles are Stephanie Rothenberg as Elinor and Mary Michael Patterson as Marianne. Directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, On Your Toes will have guest music direction by Encores! founding music director Rob Fisher and will play seven performances, from May 8 - 12 at New York City Center, W. 55th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues). The "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue" ballet, originally choreographed by George Balanchine, will be staged by Susan Pilarre, who served as a Ballet Mistress of the show's 1983 Broadway Revival.

Red Bull Theater will present the American Premiere of a new adaptation of August Strindberg's The Dance of Death by Mike Poulton (Tony Award Nominee for Best Play for Fortune's Fool), directed by Joseph Hardy (Tony Award winner for Best Director for Child's Play), for a strictly limited engagement beginning tonight, April 10th and continuing through May 4th only, at the Lucille Lortel Theater (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets). Opening Night is set for Thursday April 18th.
