Warner Archive Collection announces New Releases, including Mr. Stewart Goes to Hollywood

Betty R. and Ralph Sheffer Foundation and The League of Professional Theatre Women will present Award-winning actress TYNE DALY for the next Oral History interview on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the Bruno Walter Auditorium of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts on 65th Street & Amsterdam Avenue. Producers Michael Alden, Stefany Bergson and Rodger Hess have announced the New York premiere of Becoming Dr. Ruth, a warmhearted, candid and inspiring comedy starring Debra Jo Rupp, ('That 70's Show') written by Mark St. Germain and directed by Julianne Boyd.

'Picture a down-at-their-heels theatrical family led by a drunken womanizer married to a wacky fading beauty,' says director Michael Leeds. 'Toss in a deaf grandmother determined to get 'back on the boards' and a daughter who's vowed never to act again. They band together for one last shot at stardom, performing a riotous mash up of Cyrano and Private Lives for a TV weatherman they've mistaken for Frank Capra! That's the plot of Moon Over Buffalo!'

Thomas Kilroy's version of The Seagull is a reappraisal of Chekhov's first great comedy, a story of a distinguished actress and her passionate lonely son. Trudie Styler will play that actress under the direction of Max Stafford Clark.

The All-Girl Theater Company, founded by two NYU Tisch grads, Katie Cappiello and Meg McInerney, has garnered the attention of some of the most influential women in America with their past productions - including Hillary Clinton, Gloria Steinem, and Amy Poehler. But the duo, along with the the company's group of 14-17 year old girls, are completely focused on a new venture: SLUT, THE PLAY.

Amanda Sayles, Producing Artistic Director of The New Theater at 45th Street, announced today that actress & director RAIN PRYOR will join the theatre as the Associate Artistic Director of Cultural Diversity Projects. Pryor was previously the Artistic Director of the Strand Theater in Baltimore, MD.

Berkshire Theatre Group presents Bernard Slade's Same Time, Next Year at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge, Opening Night tonight, July 25 at 8pm. Previews began July 23 at 8pm and the show will close on August 10 at 8pm. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
