OGCMA's 'Summer Stars Classical Series' Presents IMPERIAL BRASS

Ocean Grove's ever-popular 'Summer Stars Classical Series' kicks off on Thursday, July 5, 2018 with the renowned IMPERIAL BRASS, the NJ-based 28-piece brass ensemble founded in 1991 by Rutgers University alumni. The Cleveland Orchestra And Ideastream Partner With Great Performances On New National Co-Production

On Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Severance Hall, America's preeminent performing arts television series Great Performances in association with ideastream will record The Cleveland Orchestra's 100th Anniversary Gala Concert for an exclusive U.S. television broadcast on PBS slated for 2019. The broadcast is a co-production of The Cleveland Orchestra, ideastream, and THIRTEEN Productions LLC for WNET.

Park ICM Announces 2018-19 Season And New Performance Home

Stanislav Ioudenitch, Artistic Director of Park International Center for Music (Park ICM), announced today that their 2018-2019 season would kick off in September with a new performance home, the 1900 Building in Mission Woods, Kansas. "For the first time, we will perform our entire season at the 1900 Building as we adore performing in their wonderful spaces," said Ioudenitch. "Now between their two fabulous concert halls and their delicious restaurant, classical music lovers can have a full evening of fine wines and food, and cap it off with our world-class musicians! We are two hidden jewels just now being discovered in the Kansas City arts public."

Masterworks Series Announces Pianist Misha Dichter In Concert With Violinist Mark Peskanov And Cellist Julian Schwarz

Pianist Misha Dichter will appear in chamber music program with violinist Mark Peskanov and cellist Julian Schwarz as part of the Bargemusic Masterworks Series, Today evening, May 26, 2018 at 6 pm and Sunday afternoon, May 27, 2018 at 4 pm, featuring the New York premieres and world premiere of Gerard Schwarz's Three Duos for violin and cello. The program will also include Schubert's Piano Trio in B-Flat Major, D. 898 (Op. 99).

New York Classical Players Announces 2017-18 Season

Highlights of the upcoming season include a five-concert cycle of orchestra performances, a three-concert chamber series at the New York City Library for the Performing Arts, and a residency at Arkansas universities. CLASSICAL BRIDGE, Inaugural Music Festival, Academy & Conference in NYC This August

This August, New York City will host the first ever Classical Bridge, an international music festival, academy and conference designed to build bridges through the music. Concertmaster Frank Huang To Lead New York Philharmonic

Concertmaster Frank Huang will lead the New York Philharmonic from his chair as Concertmaster in a program spotlighting the Orchestra's string section. The concerts will feature Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3, with Principal Associate Concertmaster Sheryl Staples as soloist; Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik; and Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings, and take place on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, June 1 at 11:00 a.m.; Saturday, June 2 at 8:00 p.m.; Tuesday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m.; and Wednesday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m.

GVO to Perform Verdi's Requiem with St. George's Choral Society

On Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:30pm, the Greenwich Village Orchestra (GVO) returns to the beautiful 19th-century Church of the Incarnation (209 Madison Ave.) for its final concert of the season, Requiem Aeternam. The GVO joins forces with St. George's Choral Society, under artistic director and conductor Matthew Lewis, for Verdi's epic Requiem. Requiem's soloists will feature soprano Rebecca Farley, mezzo-soprano Raehann Bryce-Davis, tenor Jonathan Tetelman, and bass Christian Zaremba.

Semyon Bychkov To Return to New York Philharmonic To Conduct Two Programs

Semyon Bychkov will return to the New York Philharmonic to conduct two weeks of programs, including the 50th anniversary of a Philharmonic commission, artist debuts, and symphonic cornerstones. In the first week, Mr. Bychkov will conduct Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1, with soloist Bertrand Chamayou in his Philharmonic debut; Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5; and Brahms's Tragic Overture, Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, May 18 at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, May 19 at 8:00 p.m.; and Tuesday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m. 

NEXT GENERATION Concert Announced At Potter Violins

Under the direction of National Philharmonic Concertmaster Colin Sorgi, the National Philharmonic Chamber Players perform the works of Schubert and Mendelssohn on April 22 at 3pm at the John Kendall Recital Hall, Potter Violins in Takoma Park, MD. Entitled "Next Generation," the concert showcases gifted students from the Philharmonic's Summer String Institutes performing the Mendelssohn Octet in E-flat Major alongside members of the Philharmonic Chamber Players. The concert also features Schubert's String Quartet in C Major. Potter's intimate hall seats only 90, allowing concert goers to experience chamber music as it was originally intended, up close and personal.
