The Honorable William Jefferson Clinton and Barbra Streisand (Honorary Chairs), with Young Playwrights Inc. and producers Richard Maltby, Jr., Kevin Stites and Sheri M. Goldhirsch are proud to present 'CHILDREN AND ART,' a spectacular musical gala evening in celebration of Stephen Sondheim's 75th birthday, for one performance only at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre (214 West 42nd Street) on Monday, March 21, 2005 (7:30 p.m. curtain), the eve of Sondheim's birthday.

The cast of 'JOY' features Becca Ayers (Sarah, Plan and Tall) as Elsa, Ben Curtis (of 'Dude, you're gettin' a Dell' fame) as Christian, Harris Doran (Actors' Fund Hair) as Paul, Gavin Esham (Naked Boys Singing) as Corey, Natalie Joy Johnson (Bare: a pop opera) as Kegan, Brian Patacca (The Donkey Show) as Matt/Adam, Christopher Sloan (Insomnia) as Gabriel and Sheridan Wright (The Producers) as Darryl. Gregory Marcel (Funeral Games) serves as the male swing.

The stars turned out to honor two of the best beloved and most influential forces in the American theatre.

Ars Nova presents Jenn Colella: The Girl Behind the Bull. Join award-winning actress Jenn Colella for a night of songs from her most beloved roles in musicals such as Urban Cowboy the Musical (Jason Robert Brown), The Great American Trailer Park (David Nehls), Heartland (Kim Sherman) and the greatly anticipated High Fidelity (Tom Kitt and Amanda Green). The Tony Award-winning Lonny Price (Urban Cowboy, Master Harold…) will direct, with musical direction by Tom Kitt (Debbie Does Dallas, An Evening with Mario Cantone). Sunday, November 7th at 8 PM at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street, just west of 10th Ave.).

Two shows recently ended their runs off-Broadway: A.R. Gurney's LOVE LETTERS and Douglas C. William's and Michael Ryan's WINDOWS OF LUCIDITY
