Inception to Exhibition to Host First Annual Dance Festival, 3/12-14

Inception to Exhibition (ITE), NYC's only interdisciplinary arts organization fostering artist incubation, announces it's first annual dance festival. Over the five-day festival, March 12-14, 2014, ITE will bring together some of NYC's most talented emerging and established choreographers for an immersive focus on contemporary concert dance. The festival will feature a World Premiere from Gina Graham as well as 3 solos, 7 duets, and 1 trio from Jonathan Campbell, Austin Diaz, Danielle Russo, Loni Landon, Sidra Bell, Joe Celej, Francesca Harper, Loni Landon, David Norsworthy, Nicole Philippidis, Sydney Schiff, Take Ueyama, Nelly Van Bommel, and Andre Zachery.

Princess Grace Foundation Honors Tony Winner Cicely Tyson Tonight

The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) is proud to announce that Cicely Tyson will accept the Prince Rainier III Award and filmmaker and New Arts Axis Director, Wendy Levy, and New York City Ballet Principal Dancer, Tiler Peck, will receive Princess Grace Statue Awards at the 2013 Princess Grace Awards Gala tonight, October 30, 2013, at Cipriani 42(nd) Street in New York City.

Loni Landon and Alex Soares Win Hubbard Street National Choreographic Competition

Terence Marling, Director of Hubbard Street 2 (HS2) and Hubbard Street Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton announce today the two winners of the 14th annual National Choreographic Competition (NCC), a program of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's Choreographic Development Initiative. 2013 winners Loni Landon of New York City and Alex Soares of São Paulo, Brazil, will each create an original work in fall 2013 while in residence at Chicago's Hubbard Street Dance Center. Both new works receive their world premieres in early 2014, at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts in Bloomington, Illinois.

Hartt Dances Features Works by José Limón, Viktor Plotnikov and More, 4/26-28

The Hartt School Dance Division presents Hartt Dances Friday through Sunday, April 26 through 28, with performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM.
