Billed as 'a special event like no other that the region has hosted or produced,' the professional actors of Barter Theatre will be backed by a full symphony orchestra when the theatre joins forces with Symphony of the Mountains for two unprecedented performances of Cabaret.

There will be no tricks, just treats this Halloween weekend as one of Broadway's most relevant and versatile leading ladies, Stephanie J. Block, brings her spellbinding one-woman show to Indianapolis to benefit The Cabaret. This special one-night only event will take place on Friday, October 28th and will help support the artistic and educational programs of The Cabaret.

The New York Pops orchestra, under the baton of Music Director Steven Reineke, celebrates the holidays with swinging seasonal favorites on December 16 and 17, 2011 at 8:00pm.

Block will join the Tony Award winning company of Anything Goes performing the role of 'Reno Sweeney' while Sutton Foster is filming a television pilot for 2-3 weeks in November. Luna Stage begins its new Jazz series, Music In The Moonlight: An Intimate Evening of Jazz on Sunday November 20th at 7pm with a concert by acclaimed vocalist Sarah Partridge. Ms. Partridge will be accompanied by pianist Allen Farnham.

The Town Hall, New York City's landmark theatre and concert venue (123 West 43rd Street), honored two influential women: Judith Jamison, Artistic Director Emerita of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and Dr. Joyce F. Brown, President of the Fashion Institute of Technology. They received The Town Hall's ‘Friend of the Arts' Award on Sunday, October 16th, 2011. The award is presented annually to individuals in recognition and appreciation for their abiding interest in the development, enrichment and support of the arts.
