It was announced today by The Theatre World Awards Board of Directors, Golden Globe® and three-time Tony®Award-winner and musical theater icon Bernadette Peters will be honored with the prestigious 4th Annual John Willis Award at the 72nd Annual Theatre World Awards Ceremony set for Monday evening, May 23, 2016 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Circle in the Square Theatre (West 50th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), home of the current 2015 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Fun Home.

Pittsburgh Public Theater presents Broadway actor Eddie Korbich as Truman Capote in TRU, a one-man play by Jay Presson Allen based on Capote's words and works. Celebration Theatre at the Lex in association with Nicholas Caprio, Michael C. Kricfalusi, Todd Milliner and Jack Morrissey presents, under the artistic direction of Michael Matthews & Michael A. Shepperd, the West Coast premiere of THE BOY FROM OZ, music and lyrics by Peter Allen, book by Martin Sherman, original book by Nick Enright, choreography by Janet Roston, musical direction by Bryan Blaskie, produced by Andrew Carlberg and directed by Celebration Theatre co-artistic director Michael A. Shepperd. THE BOY FROM OZ will begin previews on Friday, April 22 at 8pm; will open on Friday, April 29 at 8pm and perform through Sunday, June 19 at the Celebration Theatre's new home, Celebration at the Lex Theatre, 6760 Lexington Ave. in Los Angeles.

The 34th Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards, which recognizes outstanding achievements in dance on Broadway and in film, takes place on Monday, May 16, 2016.

Seth Sikes, of whom New York Arts Review said 'may well be one of the saviors of the Great American Songbook,' will make his Feinstein's at the Nikko debut on Thursday, June 16 (8 p.m.) for one performance only of his critically acclaimed show Seth Sikes Sings Liza Minnelli, an evening of Minnelli's most popular songs.

The Colony Hotel - which The Palm Beach Post has hailed as "probably the best place for cabaret on the planet" - is doing something completely different this year. For the first time in the 15-year history of the Royal Room, the world famous cabaret will not close at the end of "season" but will continue offering extraordinary entertainers straight-through the summer months with dinner shows every Friday and Saturday night.

The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center has announced the return of the legendary Miss Coco Peru. The YouTube sensation brings her latest solo show, A GENTLE REMINDER: MISS COCO PERU'S GUIDE TO A SOMEWHAT HAPPY LIFE, to the Renberg Theatre for four nights only -- Fridays and Saturdays, May 13 & 14 and May 20 & 21.

As adept as he is on the drums - and make no mistake about it, Danny Young is headbangingly assertive and confident on the aforementioned drum kit - it might surprise you to know that at the ripe old age of eight, he actually started out as a singer in his family's quartet. And, to top it all off, he got his start in the business of show as a boy soprano.

The workshop of award-winning composer/lyricist/playwright/performer Max Vernon's new musical THE VIEW UPSTAIRS, directed by Scott Ebersold and with choreography by Spencer Liff and music direction by Matt Aument, will hold their industry presentations this week, starting today, March 31st, and continuing tomorrow, Friday, April 1st, in New York City.

            Lincoln Center Theater, in association with Jujamcyn Theaters, has announced that Stephanie J. Block, Christian Borle, and Andrew Rannells will head the cast of its new production of William Finn and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical FALSETTOS.  FALSETTOS  begins previews Thursday, September 29, and opens on Thursday, October 27 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48 Street).

The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, will welcome Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch, The Brandon McCune Trio,and Tony DeSare and to Bemelmans Bar for Sunday night residencies throughout the spring 2016 season. Featuring top artists from the worlds of jazz, cabaret and Broadway alongside special unannounced guests, Sunday nights at Bemelmans Bar have become a favorite spot for a wide range of performing musicians across the city. Additionally, the classic watering hole has drawn crowds consisting of socialites, politicians, movie stars and moguls for more than five decades. Maestro Luke Frazier and The American Pops Orchestra - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - are proud to present the closing concert of their successful inaugural season. MAKE SOMEONE HAPPY: A 60s Cocktail Party will debut at the George Washington University's Lisner Auditorium on Friday, May 6th at 8:00 PM.

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts and the Santa Rosa Symphony announced the lineup for their 2016-2017 Symphony Pops Series collaboration. The new season marks the twelfth year of the Symphony Pops Series. Led by Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz, the series will be presented in the Ruth Finley Person Theater at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.  The concert offerings include hits from Maestro Berkowitz's voluminous library of popular music, a special Charlie Brown Christmas Concert, a showcase of The Great American Songbook and a tribute to the legends of country music.

Bay Area Cabaret at the Venetian Room of the Fairmont (950 Mason Street) will conclude its 2015-2016 season welcoming back two favorites: Tony-nominated Broadway and Cabaret artists Ann Hampton Callaway and Liz Callaway in the Bay Area debut of their new show, From West Side Story to Wicked: Broadway By the Callaways, Sunday May 22 at 4:00 pm.
