Cineplex Entertainment (TSX:CGX), via our Front Row Centre Events, and Omniverse Vision today announced a special 25th anniversary presentation of The Phantom of the Opera can be enjoyed at participating movie theatres across Canada. This special presentation will be available in high-definition with digital surround sound on Monday, October 3rd at 7:00 p.m. local time and Saturday, October 22nd at 1:00 p.m. local time. The Phantom of the Opera will be recorded live from London's Royal Albert Hall on Sunday, October 2nd.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical LOVE NEVER DIES will close on 27 August 2011. The production had recently announced that bookings were open through January 2012. The musical opened at the Adelphi Theatre 9th March 2010, with previews from 20th Feb and closed down briefly last winter for a set of changes.
Theatrical legend Alan Jay Lerner was commemorated today, Wednesday 14 June, 25 years after his death, with a plaque in St Paul's Church Covent Garden. The plaque was unveiled by his wife, actress Liz Robertson, during a service in celebration of his life and work, attended by friends, family and other theatrical greats including Don Black, Anthony Andrews, Tim Rice, Russ Abbott and Tony Britton.
