In mid-August, the news website Bloomberg.com reported that 54 Below, the popular new nightclub that opened last June in the basement of the old Studio 54, needed a major cash infusion in the six-figure range if it was going to survive. Perhaps if they just book Liz and Ann Hampton Callaway on a regular basis-either individually or together-their bottom line will start singing a happy tune. The sisterly songbirds recently sold out a five-show run at the venue with a revival of their crowd-pleasing show 'Sibling Revelry.'

This September and October, 54 BELOW, the performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife, presents an exciting lineup of the brightest talent from Broadway and beyond. Set to perform are: Brian d'Arcy James, Duncan Sheik, Tony Desare, Charles Busch, Emily Skinner, Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp, Laura Benanti, Alice Ripley, Telly Leung, John Tartaglia, MOrgan James, Ann Morrison, Christine Andreas, Shelly Burch, Ahrens & Flaherty, Frances Ruffelle and more.

Continuing August 29 at 7PM, August 30 & 31 at 8PM & August 30 at 11PM at 54 Below is Ann Hampton Callaway and Liz Callaway in SIBLING RIVERLRY. The show is a loosely-based musical autobiography outlining their lives from their childhood in Chicago, to their move to New York City, to the ever-continuing adventures of their luminous careers.

Nice Fighting You: A 30th Anniversary Celebration will run at 54 Below, September 26 - 28, 2013, with featured guests each night.

Richmond CenterStage today announced the lineup for the third year of the annual U.S. Trust Life is a Cabaret! Series: A Celebration of the American Song Book, which will begin on October 17 with the first of four performances by Richmond's own Sharon Rae North in her CenterStage debut.

Ten years ago, as a reaction to over-amplification of musicals, Scott Siegel had the crazy idea that there might be an audience for a concert of Broadway show tunes performed the way they used to be sung: without microphones. And Scott had the perfect place to try out his theory, the acoustically wonderful Town Hall on West 43rd St. With no money, but the support of a great many singers who wanted, literally, to be heard in a way that was no longer possible on Broadway, he launched the first Broadway Unplugged, boasting 'Sound Design by God.'
