BWW Blog: Patti Murin of Goodspeed's HOLIDAY INN - An Old-Fashioned Walk

"An Old-Fashioned Walk" or, I cheated on this title a little because I have a car Good day, friends! This week, I would like to take you through a week in my life at Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn, currently playing at the Goodspeed Opera House. I call this "An Old-Fashioned Walk" because a large majority of the company do not have vehicles up here, so they are old-fashioned walking everywhere. Also, since everything seems to be a 20 minute drive away, we old-fashioned walk to the theatre every day. And to 32 Main, the coffee shop up the hill. And to the liquor store across the street. Plus, I old-fashioned walk my dog, Milo, every single day, like 47 times a day, so my whole life seems to be old-fashioned walking. Thank goodness I have a FitBit to tell me if I'm old-fashioned walking enough every day!

BWW Blog: Zoe Vonder Haar of ALWAYS... PATSY CLINE at Stages St. Louis - Westport Plaza

I am so excited to bring my story and love of Patsy to the Playhouse at Westport Plaza. What a wonderful space. 'The Coffin Haulers' Now Available in Paperback on Amazon

The future never looked brighter for a young, attractive Polish immigrant as she walked the deserted streets in her Chicago neighborhood. Yet a few hours later her body would be discovered in a gangway. Police investigators would write it off as another random, gang-related murder and pursue the case when more important crimes didn't require their full attention. Private detective Joey Boloccini doesn't buy their conclusions. He's convinced it was a targeted killing and sets out to find the murderer. The key to his case is the Pilsudski family, known as The Coffin Haulers for the humiliating, low-paying job they perform. But they keep a closely guarded family secret: It's not hauling coffins that bring in money, but what's inside them. As his investigation proceeds, Joey is troubled by the decisions he's forced to make, decisions that sometimes cross an ethical boundary and obscure the difference between right and wrong. 'God doesn't create saints and sinners,' he thinks at one point. 'They create themselves.' 'The Coffin Haulers' is the second novel featuring private detective Joey Boloccini. It's available on Amazon for the first time in paperback. The ebook version can also be found on Amazon. Joey made his debut in 'The Champagne Ladies,' available on Amazon as an e-book. About the Author Gregg Cebrzynski was born in Chicago's Little Village and lived there until he embarked on a long career as an award-winning journalist. Now living on the city's North Side, he returns to the old neighborhood from time to time to have a look around.
