TimeLine Theatre Company has announced its four-play 2012-13 season. TimeLine is dedicated to presenting plays inspired by history that connect to today's social and political issues, and its upcoming season includes one world premiere and three Chicago premieres.

The Theatre School at DePaul University (John Culbert, Dean) has announced the 2012-2013 season. Founded as the Goodman School of Drama in 1925, The Theatre School presents public programming as a professional extension of the classroom. Under the leadership of an award-winning faculty and staff, theatre artists from all disciplines collaborate during their final years of training to offer new work, plays for families, as well as contemporary plays and classics.
The Theatre School at DePaul University has announced that a national search has led to the appointment of Ricardo A. Bracho as the Visiting Multicultural Faculty Member for the upcoming academic year. Also, a national search was conducted for an Assistant Professor position in the Theatre Studies department. This full-time, tenure track position was accepted by Ernie Nolan, who has been teaching, directing, and mentoring in various capacities at the school for three years.
Pride Films and Plays continues its very fun summer with one repeating event and a Chicago premiere. PFP's second annual Women's Work Weekend will feature enhanced staged readings of new lesbian plays and screenplays by women writers from across the country. And that will be closely followed by Mariah MacCarthy's delightful comedy spoofing all things gender-centric: The All-American Genderf*ck Cabaret, directed by Tara Branham.

Silk Road Rising is set to present the World Premiere of Night Over Erzinga, written by Adriana Sevahn Nichols and directed by Lisa Portes. The Theatre School at DePaul University will present BARRIO GRRRL! A MUSICAL (book and lyrics by Quiara Alegria Hudes, music by Bill Sherman, musical direction by Mark Elliott, and directed by Lisa Portes) as the final production of the 2011-2012 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences Series. BARRIO GRRRL! A MUSICAL opens Tuesday, March 27, and runs through Saturday, May 12, 2012, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre. Performances are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 AM and Saturdays at 2 PM. There will be no performance on March 31, April 3, April 5, April 7, April 28, May 1, May 3, or May 5.

discuss their plays in progress.
