92Y presents an evening with the cast and creative team behind the best-reviewed show of the season, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder. Robert L. Freedman (book/lyrics) and Steven Lutvak (music/lyrics) discuss the production's ten-year journey to Broadway, with performances from cast members Jefferson Mays, Bryce Pinkham, Lisa O'Hare, and Lauren Worsham on Sunday, May 11 at 8 pm. Ghostlight Records has just released the original Broadway cast recording of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, the new musical currently running at the Walter Kerr Theatre. The album - produced by Joel Moss and Kurt Deutsch, with Joey Parnes serving as Executive Producer - features a 40-page booklet with complete lyrics, color photos, a synopsis by librettist Robert L. Freedman and an essay by renowned theater writer and critic David Cote. The cast just celebrated the album release at Joe Allen and you can check out photos from the special event below!

When Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak's musical comedy A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER opened on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre, it received rave reviews and was hailed by many as the best musical of 2013. Earlier this week, Ghostlight Records released the much-anticipated OBCR of the comical musical; however, after giving the CD a few spins, I couldn't help but feel that I was missing something.

On May 10 at 54 Below, join soprano Lauren Worsham -- Phoebe from Broadway's critically-acclaimed A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder -- as she introduces her Edwardian castmates to her rock band Sky-Pony. It's Broadway meets indie-rock in a supper club setting.

At a special event yesterday, March 5, the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder announced that the production has reached the 1,000th death of its leading man, Jefferson Mays, since opening at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Mays' character dies eight times in each performance; and so, he has reached 1,000 stage deaths faster than any other Broadway actor. It was at yesterday's press conference that he was a awarded an honorary 'death certificate.'

At a press conference earlier today, the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder announced that the production just reached the landmark 1,000th death of its leading man. Jefferson Mays, playing eight members of the D'Ysquith clan, is knocked off eight times in each performance, or sixty-four times each week. Mr. Mays has reached 1,000 stage deaths faster than any lead actor in Broadway history. At the press conference, Mr. Mays' co-star, Bryce Pinkham, presented Mr. Mays with an honorary 'death certificate' on behalf of the entire cast.

A new Sh-K-Boom listing has revealed that the label will release a cast album for the hit Broadway musical, starring Jefferson Mays and Bryce Pinkham. As of now, no official release date has been announced.

Dominating the nominations in the musical category is the current Broadway sensation 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder,' which made its world premiere in February 2013 at San Diego's The Old Globe (a co-production with Hartford Stage). The musical racked up 11 nominations, including nods for New Musical, its versatile star Jefferson Mays (a UC San Diego alumnus) and its director Darko Tresnjak (former co-artistic director and Shakespeare Festival director at The Old Globe).

The merry ladies and gentlemen of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder departed the Walter Kerr Theatre at the end of yesterday's matinee performance to take their afternoon tea and biscuits with new friends at the 'Downton Abbey' Food Truck, which was stationed on 50th Street between 6th & 7th Avenues in midtown Manhattan. Dressed in their warmest Edwardian attire, the cast enjoyed a warm jolt before returning to the Kerr for that evening's performance.
