Comedy's reigning Queen of Mean, Lisa Lampanelli returned to The Venetian to perform atLIPSHTICK – THE PERFECT SHADE OF STAND-UP on Friday, October 3 and will take the stage tonight Saturday, October 4. The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, just welcomed Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch back to Bemelmans Bar for an extended Sunday night residency. The upcoming performances will build upon their recent run of shows in the intimate, storied New York City lounge, favorites not only of music fans and critics, but also of fellow artists. Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch shows are a place where some of the city's foremost entertainers go to commune with their own-and sometimes sit-in for a song or two-on their nights off. The pair will be at Bemelmans with their evening of swinging standards Sunday nights, through Dec. 31st.

SiriusXM Broadway host Seth Rudetsky will host and music direct a benefit concert at 42West on Sunday August 24th called Not Since High School. The concert, which will begin at 7:30, will showcase Broadway performers singing the classic roles they played as teens while wearing braces and/or breaking out.

Summer is already in full swing in the South. Back yard cookouts and swimming pools, summer camps and vacations are happening everywhere you look. I often find theatre slightly more difficult to find during the summer, so I've done a little research to help you find a good show when you need one. Cause after all, sometimes a nice air conditioned theatre is just the place to be on a humid summer day in Tennessee.
