Westchester Broadway Theatre presents A Standing Ovation Studio Production, OLIVER!, with Book, Music & Lyrics by Lionel Bart, direction by John Fanelli, choreographed by Carrie Silvernail, with musical direction by Kurt Kelley. Trinity Rep kicks off their 50th Anniversary season with John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, the definitive American tale of the strength of family and the human spirit set in the aftermath of the Great Depression. The Grapes of Wrath begins previews September 5, 2013 and runs until October 6, 2013 in Trinity Rep's Dowling Theater. Adapted for the stage by Frank Galati, this evocative and deeply affecting stage version promises to lift Steinbeck's novel to new heights of theatrical urgency, especially when married with director Brian McEleney's visceral storytelling style. Part naturalistic epic, part road novel, part inspirational gospel, The Grapes of Wrath boasts a 17 member cast and original folk-rock music from the show's band, 3pile. Sheffield Theatres today announce the full cast of the forthcoming The Winter's Tale, directed by Paul Miller, and a casting update for the company's Christmas show, Oliver! directed by Artistic Director Daniel Evans.

The Daily Mail reports that Ben Richards will play 'Bill Sikes' in OLIVER! at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre, beginning November 29, 2013. Richards will be joining Phil Davis, who was previously announced in the role of 'Fagin'.

The cast will feature Brandon Singel as Oliver. Brandon of Harrison, NY, also starred as Winthrop in The Music Man here at WBT. Mr. Bumble will be played by John Egan, of Dobbs Ferry, a veteran Broadway performer who has starred in The Producers, The Little Mermaid, Sister Act, Nice Work If You Can Get It, to name a few. John Anthony Lopez will perform as Fagin, Lucy Braid as Nancy, Todd Ritch as The Artful Dodger, Brian Krinsky as Bill Sykes, and Regina Singel as Widow Corney.

Today in 1965, Oliver! opened at the Martin Beck Theatre, where it ran for 64 performances. Oliver! is a British musical, with script, music and lyrics by Lionel Bart. The musical is based upon the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. It premiered in the West End in 1960, enjoying a long run, a successful Broadway production in 1963 and further tours and revivals. It was made into a musical film in 1968. Major London revivals played from 1994-1998 and again from 2009-2011.

Sheffield Theatres announces today the four local boys set to play Oliver and the Artful Dodger in the company's Christmas musical, Lionel Bart's multi award-winning masterpiece Oliver!, which will take to the Crucible stage from Friday 29 November 2013 to Saturday 25 January 2014.

Trinity Repertory Company, the State Theater of Rhode Island is proud to announce that three new company members have been added to their resident acting company roster - Mia Ellis, Rebecca Gibel and Charlie Thurston.
