illuminati hotties, the indie-pop outfit fronted by LA's Sarah Tudzin, have emerged as one of 2018's most exciting new bands following the release of their acclaimed debut album Kiss Yr Frenemies on Tiny Engines. Tudzin, joined by her band Nathaniel Noton-Freeman, Tim Kmet, and Dean Kiner, will be spending this fall on the road -- including dates with Diet Cig, Los Campesinos!, and Vundabar -- and today they released a video for 'Cuff,' featuring animation by Sam Lane. NPR premiered the clip, calling it 'a portrait of hope'and adding, 'Tudzin's debut [is] a record that balances humor and heart, illuminating the ways in which we cope with coming into our own, no matter our age.'

Peter Bjorn and John return with their eighth full-length studio album this fall when they release Darker Days on October 19th. Written almost immediately after the release of 2016's Breakin' Point, the band decided to strip away the noise and take it back to a simpler time where it was just the three of them, playing music together and releasing albums every other year. The 11 songs on Darker Days reflect this move, showcasing each member's unique songwriting style while sounding resolutely like a band that has played together for nearly 20 years.

Novo Amor has unveiled the official video for his new single 'Utican', which premiered earlier today on The FADER. The track is the latest to be taken from his forthcoming debut album Birthplace, to be released on October 19 via AllPoints. Much like the video for the album's title track - which seeks to address the monolithic problem of plastic in our oceans - and was awarded Independent Video of the Year at the AIM Awards earlier this week - the storyline for the 'Utican' video also centers on a topical and emotional issue, befitting of the cinematic nature of Novo Amor's music.

Last week, Ron Gallo shared the single and video for 'Always Elsewhere' off of his forthcoming, Stardust Birthday Party. Today, he releases part two - the music video for 'Do You Love Your Company?' The two videos act as companion pieces. In 'Always Elsewhere' Gallo walks through various scenes carrying a box labeled 'SELF,' and at the end he opens the box to see what's inside, which is where the 'Company' video begins.
