Page Seventy-Three Productions (Page 73) announced today that the 2016 Spring Celebration will honor Page 73 Board Member Allison Blinken. The Spring Celebration will be held on Thursday, June 9 at City Winery (155 Varick Street, New York, NY 10013).

The Asian American Arts Alliance has launched its inaugural 2016 Van Lier Fellowships in Acting and Directing for early-career theater artists of Asian descent who are 30 and under and based in New York City. Ms. Seonjae Kim is the 2016 Van Lier Directing Fellow and Ms. Diana Oh is the 2016 Van Lier Acting Fellow. Ms. Kim and Ms. Oh were both selected in an open application process by a high-level review panel.

Lincoln Center's production of THE KING AND I will close June 26th according to a tweet by NYT theatre reporter Michael Paulson. The production will have played for 39 previews and 499 performances.

Producers Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group announced today principal cast changes for the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince. The longest-running show in Broadway history, and one of the most successful stage productions of all-time, the musical will welcome three actors to principal roles beginning Monday, June 13.

The Alliance Theatre announces today the appointment of Mike Schleifer to Managing Director. Schleifer has been serving the organization in the capacity of General Manager since March 2014, having arrived from a thirteen-year run at Baltimore's Center Stage. The promotion comes ahead of three transformative years for the Alliance as the organization embarks on an exciting renovation.

Rajiv Joseph's Guards at the Taj, produced by the Atlantic Theater Company, received the Obie Award® for Best New American Play, which is accompanied by a $1,000 prize. Legendary actor/dancer/choreographer Carmen de Lavallade and renowned playwright A.R. Gurney each received a special Obie Award® for Lifetime Achievement. Obie and Screen Actors Guild® Award-winning actress Lea DeLaria returned as host of this year's ceremony, which was held at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street). Three-time Tony Award nominee Marin Mazzie and Daniel Dae Kim recently joined the Tony Award-winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's The King and I at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

"Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike," the Drama Desk and Tony Award-winning comedy by Christopher Durang that NY Times critic Ben Brantley called "a loving rejection of pretty much everything," will be the fourth and final play of the Hampton Theatre Company's 2015-2016 season, opening on May 26, at the Quogue Community Hall and running through June 12. ARTHUR MILLER'S A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE has won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play. 

THE KING AND I's Daniel Dae Kim was the guest co-host on this morning's LIVE. The actor spoke about starring in the production, now playing at Lincoln Center, and shared a recent incident he had on stage involving a cell phone.
