Rosalyn Drexler Exhibit to Open 2/12 at Rose Art Museum

The Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University will present the historic, monographic exhibition Who Does She Think She Is?, a long-overdue retrospective of Rosalyn Drexler's multidisciplinary practice, February 12 – June 5, 2016. Showcasing Drexler's major paintings and collages as well as her captivating early sculptures, award-winning plays and novels, and photographic and video documentation of the flamboyant performance aspects of her life and work, the exhibition is co-curated by Rose Curator-at-Large Katy Siegel and Curatorial Assistant Caitlin Julia Rubin.  An opening reception will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 5-9pm.

Jai Rodriguez Coming to Martinis Above Fourth | Table + Stage, 1/21

On Thursday, January 21 at 8PM, Jai Rodriguez presents his new show, 'Tales of An Aging Twink' at Martinis Above Fourth. He calls this show 'the R-rated GLEE version of his life.' Rodriguez, best known for his role as the culture guide on Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, is also a well-known Broadway singer/actor and TV/movie performer. Tickets for this one-night only event are $20-$25 and are available at www.martinisabovefourth.com.

MCC THEATER will soon present Zachary Quinto in the New York premiere of Smokefall, by Noah Haidle and directed by Anne Kauffman, who directed The Nether for MCC last season to great acclaim. Quinto will also be joined by rising star Julia Garner, currently starring opposite Lily Tomlin in the Oscar-buzzed independent film Grandma; film and television star Robin Tunney and NYC theater veterans Jon DeVries and Brian Hutchison. Award-winning veteran director Jules Aaron has been putting his directorial stamp on musicals and plays for several decades.  Mr. Aaron takes time out of his busy schedule to talk with us about his current project, the west coast premiere of The Group Rep's production of THAT LOVIN' FEELIN' running December 11 through January 24, 2016 at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood, which already has some SOLD OUT performance dates.  He also gives us a glimpse into his background and the encouragement he received along the way.
