THE LITTLE FOXES and More Set for Everyman Theatre's New Women-Centric Salon Series

Everyman Theatre is excited to announce the introduction of a new series of informal play readings. The inaugural series, titled 'Women's Voices in American Theatre,' will highlight some of theatre's greatest women playwrights through four staged readings curated by the women of Everyman's Resident Acting Company.

Everyman Theatre to Launch New Series of Informal Play Readings

Everyman Theatre is excited to announce the introduction of a new series of informal play readings. The inaugural series, titled "Women's Voices in American Theatre," will highlight some of theatre's greatest women playwrights through four staged readings curated by the women of Everyman's Resident Acting Company.  The readings will take place in the theatre's second-floor rehearsal hall, which will be transformed into a funky stripped-down performance space, on four Monday evenings:  April 25, May 9, May 23 and June 6 from 7PM to 9PM.

History Matters/Back To The Future Announces 2016 Judith Barlow Prize Winner

History Matters/Back To The Future, committed to promoting the study and production of women's plays of the past, has announced the winner of the second annual Judith Barlow Prize. Lindsay Adams, a student at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., has been chosen for her one-act play, HER OWN DEVICES, which was inspired by Mary Chase's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Harvey.

EgoPo's MACHINAL Opens 4/22

Pandora Productions to Present Lillian Hellman's THE CHILDREN'S HOUR

Pandora Productions continues the 2015-2016 season with Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour. A play that was too scandalous to be considered for a Pulitzer in 1934 due to its lesbian theme. Ms. Hellman, known as much for her politics as for her playwrighting, penned this, her first play, at the tender age of 29. She would become one of the most famous female playwrights of the century. The play explores issues of homosexual persecution in that time period. Pandora is proud to bring this play to life during Women's History month.

As the legendary comedy duo Nichols and May, Nichols and his partner Elaine May revolutionized comedy in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Now, May has directed the first documentary about her former partner, Mike Nichols: American Masters, premiering tonight, January 29, 2016, at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings) to launch the 30th anniversary season of THIRTEEN's AMERICAN MASTERS series.
