Today, we start rehearsals for our next concert of Transcendence Theatre Company's, Broadway Under the Stars season. I'm so excited to see all of the performers that arrived last night from NYC and LA!!! I have some close friends coming out to perform in this concert and and am of course excited for the new friends I'll be meeting! This concert will be our "Fantastical Family Night." It will also include the kids from our Broadway Kids camp….which I am SO EXCITED ABOUT! Needless to say, a lot has been going on here since our closing night of our first concert, "One Singular Sensation."

Tales of Braces, Broadway, Dating & Drool," as the first concert in the 2014 Transcendence Artist Series this summer. The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents The Trumpet of the Swan, A Novel Symphony for Actors and Orchestra, adapted by Pulitzer Prize-winner Marsha Norman from E.B. White's timeless children's novel, with music by Tony Award-winning composer, Jason Robert Brown. Norman and Brown are also currently represented on Broadway with the new musical adaptation of The Bridges of Madison County.

Philadelphia Theatre Company revisits the musical satire Nerds with book and lyrics by Jordan Allen-Dutton and Erik Weiner, music by Hal Goldberg, and a brand new cast and creative team. Directed by Casey Hushion with choreography by Joshua Bergasse, the ensemble features Stanley Bahorek, Matt Bradley, Briana Carlson-Goodman, Benny Elledge, Lexy Fridell, Raymond J. Lee, Alyse Alan Louis, Robert Morrison, Kevin Pariseau, Catherine Ricafort, and Blake Segal.

The Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q, currently playing off-Broadway at New World Stages, celebrated its 10th anniversary yesterday, July 31. Prior to curtain, Media and Entertainment Commissioner Katherine Oliver presented a proclamation from the City of New York to the musical's cast, creators and producers declaring July 31 as AVENUE Q DAY.
