Squeaky Bicycle Productions will present their seventh season as the newest Company in Residence at downtown stalwart, Theater for the New City.

The Off-Broadway show, Liberty: A Monumental New Musical, which opened on July 4, will end its current run on July 24 and plans to resume performances this fall.

The producers of Liberty: A Monumental New Musical have announced the full cast for their upcoming Off-Broadway run this summer at 42West (514 West 42nd Street). Performances begin on June 6th with its official opening set for July 4th, 2016.

Liberty: A Monumental New Musical, a fast-paced pop-infused 80-minute musical, detailing the story of Lady Liberty's arrival in America in a show that is appealing to families of all ages, will take over 42nd Street this summer at 42West (514 West 42nd Street), with performances beginning on June 6th with its official opening set for July 4th, 2016.

While the iconic and critically acclaimed GONG SHOW LIVE is preparing for its 2015-2016 Off-Broadway Season in Manhattan, the acclaimed lunatic comedy has been commissioned for one blowout Event and Extravaganza at the beautiful BOULTON CENTER for the PERFORMING ARTS in Bay Shore, Long Island.

 From May 14 to 31 (rescheduled from May 7 to 24), The Morningside Players will present 'Fences,' the Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning play by August Wilson, directed by Arthur French, a stalwart veteran of Broadway and Off-Broadway who is also a prime interpreter of August Wilson's plays.

Broadway Records announced today that the Original Off-Broadway Cast Recording of Liberty: A Monumental New Musical, will be released on CD and digitally on Tuesday, May 5th. Food is a prism to look into love and sex, conflict and life in the six short plays of 'A la Carte: a Feast of New Plays,' to be presented by WorkShop Theater Company, 312 West 36th Street, from tonight, April 9 to May 2. Short works of various genres by Allan Knee, Dana Leslie Goldstein, Laurie Graff, Laura Hirschberg, Gary Giovanetti and Scott C. Sickles will be presented. Leslie Kincaid Burby directs the entire evening.

Following its successful Off-Broadway run at New York City's Theatre 80 in the Fall of 2014, LIBERTY: A MONUMENTAL NEW MUSICAL kicked off a crowdfunding campaign via Indiegogo for their cast recording. Early in 2015 the cast of LIBERTY and its writers went into the studio at John Kilgore Sound & Recording to make a cast album. BroadwayWorld was invited in for a sneak peek and to hear some of the recording as it happened.

Abigail Shapiro plays the title role in Liberty: A Monumental New Musical.
