HERE LIES LOVE Closes Today at the Public Theater

The Public Theater presents the critically acclaimed world premiere musical Here Lies Love, with concept and lyrics by David Byrne, music by David Byrneand Fatboy Slim, additional music by Tom Gandey and J Pardo, and choreography by Annie-B Parson. Directed by Alex Timbers, Here Lies Love officially opened on Tuesday, April 23 and was extended a fourth and final time to today, July 28.

LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST Begins Previews Tonight in the Park!

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin previews today, Tuesday, July 23 for the new musical LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, the second show of The Public's 2013 free Shakespeare in the Park season at the Delacorte. Directed by Alex Timbers, LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST will feature songs by Michael Friedman with book adaptation by Timbers and will run through Sunday, August 18, with an official press opening on Monday, August 12.

Chance Theater Opens BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON Bloody Andrew Jackson Tonight

Chance Theater presents the third show of its 15th Anniversary Season - the hilarious and irreverent emo rock musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson by Alex Timbers, with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, and directed by Kari Hayter. Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson opens tonight, July 12 and continues through August 4 at Chance Theater.

Deb Radloff Awarded Classic Stage Co's Rosemarie Tichler Fund Grant

Classic Stage Company has announced that Deb Radloff, who appeared in the company's recent production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle, is this year's recipient of the Rosemarie Tichler Fund grant. The Fund was established in 2010 with the mission to assist young actors who have appeared at CSC and who have recently made the transition from their training into the profession. The $3000 grant can be used by the young artist to continue training or to offset loans they may have incurred while studying their craft. With the grant, CSC hopes to make a difference in the lives of young actors at the start of their careers as well as to heighten awareness in the community to the specific needs of actors. The recipient was selected by a panel of judges which included Rosemarie Tichler, CSC Artistic Director Brian Kulick and CSC Casting Director James Calleri.

TRADE PRACTICES, PROTOTYPE and More Set for HERE's 2013-14 Season

HERE has announced its 2013-2014 producing season, launching in Fall 2013 with a premiere Artistic Director production, Trade Practices, by Kristin Marting & David Evans Morris; followed by three productions from artists in the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP): BOTCH by Joe Diebes; The Pigeoning by Robin Frohardt; and Keep Your Electric Eye On Me by Shaun Irons & Lauren Petty. HERE's upcoming season also includes the second annual PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre Now festival in January; HERE's yearly CULTUREMART festival which gives audiences a first look at new work in process from HERE Resident Artists; and a presentation from the Dream Music Puppetry Program, to be announced.

New Ohio Theatre Hosts 'Sunset Benefit Cocktail Party' for 2013 Ice Factory Festival Tonight

New Ohio Theatre and Artistic Director Robert Lyons will host a Sunset Benefit Cocktail Party, celebrating 20 years of presenting some of the most innovative and cutting-edge downtown theatre in their Obie Award-winning Ice Factory summer festival. The event takes place tonight, June 20 from 7pm - 10pm on the rooftop of the historic Archive Building at 666 Greenwich Street in the West Village.

THE COMEDY OF ERRORS Begins in Central Park - Tonight!

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced additional casting today for the 2013 season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. This summer, all performances for THE COMEDY OF ERRORS and LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, A NEW MUSICAL will begin at 8:30 p.m. with running times of approximately 90 minutes, no intermission.

Elizabeth A. Davis, Mary Testa and More Star in CSC's THE CAUCASIAN CHALK CIRCLE, Beg. Tonight

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, will present a new production of Bertolt Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle featuring Christopher Lloyd (Azdak), directed by Brian Kulick (who directed Brecht's Galileo last season), and featuring new music by Tony Award-winning singer/songwriter Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening). The Caucasian Chalk Circle will begin performances tonight, May 3 at CSC (136 East 13th Street) for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 9. The official opening is Thursday, May 30.

Directed by Alex Timbers, HERE LIES LOVE officially opened on Tuesday, April 23 and has been extended for a third time to Sunday, June 30. The Public Theater announced another two week extension today for the world premiere musical HERE LIES LOVE, with concept and lyrics by David Byrne, music by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, additional music by Tom Gandey and J Pardo, and choreography by Annie-B Parson. Directed by Alex Timbers, HERE LIES LOVE began performances on Tuesday, April 2 and has been extended twice due to high demand. The new 360 degree musical will now run through Sunday, June 2 in The Public's LuEsther Theater, with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 23.
