NBC will air the GOLDEN GLOBE ARRIVALS SPECIAL(4-5 p.m. PT, 7-8 p.m. ET) pre-show just prior to “The 73rd Annual Golden Globe® Awards” on Sunday, Jan. 10 (5-8 p.m. PT; 8-11 p.m. ET).

Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced acclaimed film and television star Claire Danes as the guest of honor at the annual Steppenwolf Salutes Women in the Arts fundraising luncheon on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 12 noon (location TBD). China Doll, the new play by David Mamet starring Tony, Emmy and Academy Award-winner Al Pacino, officially opens tonight, December 4, after a two-week delay. Directed by Tony Award-winner Pam MacKinnon (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf) and co-starring Christopher Denham ('Master Harold'... and the Boys, Argo, 'Manhattan'), China Doll plays the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street) and marks the tenth presentation of a David Mamet work by Messrs Richards, Frankel and Treaxler on Broadway and in the West End.

The Casting Society of America (CSA) will honor the recipients of its three major annual special awards at the 31st Artios Awards gala on January 21, 2016. The recipients are director Danny Boyle (Steve Jobs, Slumdog Millionaire) for the Career Achievement Award, casting director Bernard Telsey (Into The Woods, 'Ricki and the Flash,' Wicked) with the Hoyt Bowers Award, and writer-producers Michelle and Robert King ('The Good Wife') with the New York Apple Award.

Next up for Daron Bruce's students involved in theater at Hume-Fogg Academic High Schools (one of the nation's highest rated secondary schools) is a much-anticipated production of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd, running November 5-7 at the iconic and historic high school, located on Broadway naturally - in downtown Nashville. Taking on the challenging role of Mrs. Lovett in the school edition of Sondheim's musical is Darby Kolwyck, a talented student with an already enviable resume: She's played Rusty in Act Too's Footloose and was part of HFA's acclaimed production of Cabaret.
