Firehall Arts Centre Celebrates 35th Anniversary Season With Tribute to The Late Leonard Cohen

The Firehall Arts Centre brings its hit show, Chelsea Hotel: The Songs of Leonard Cohen, back to the stage from March 17 to April 21 in celebration of the venue's 35th anniversary season and to pay homage to the late Mr. Cohen. Featuring six artists playing seventeen different instruments, this award-winning production has toured across Canada to sold out audiences.

The Ten Tenors Celebrate the Release of WISH YOU WERE HERE

The TEN Tenors, one of Australia's most successful international touring acts, having performed in 29 countries to date, has announced a spring tour set to play 22 US cities including San Diego. The tour is in celebration of the group's 20th  anniversary, and the release of Wish You Were Here, an album of material associated with iconic performs who have passed on including Prince, David Bowie, Michael Hutchence of INXS, John Lennon, Amy Winehouse, Queen's Freddy Mercury, Roy Orbison and others.

Leonard Cohen Honoured In Art Of Time Ensemble Concert

Art of Time Ensemble presents A Singer Must Die, a concert in tribute to the legendary literary and musical icon Leonard Cohen. Running February 22 - 24 at Harbourfront Centre Theatre, this sublime concert features a range of acclaimed singers, authors and musicians in a program that focuses on both Cohen's music and his writings. Readings, anecdotes, and arrangements of his music in the signature Art of Time Ensemble style will make for an evening to remember.

New Website Will Honor Irving Berlin's Legacy

The family of Irving Berlin, in conjunction with his publishers Concord Music (North America) and Universal Music Publishing Group (rest of World), has announced the launch of a new website to honor Irving Berlin in celebration of his 130th birthday. Steven Page's 'Songbook' Gives Classic Treatment to Contemporary Songs

Reimagining great popular music of the past 40 years is the goal of Songbook: Steven Page and the Art of Time Ensemble. Page, co-founder and former lead singer of Barenaked Ladies, and Art of Time, an acoustic instrumental ensemble, will present their takes on contemporary songs at the Virginia G. Piper Theater at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9. The Toronto-based musicians will perform inventive arrangements of well-known rock and pop songs.
