TRIASSIC PARQ The Musical, presented by Amas Musical Theatre, is set to play a limited Off-Broadway engagement at the SoHo Playhouse, June 12th through August 5th. Opening night is Wednesday, June 27th. Winner of 2010's Best Musical Award at FringeNYC, TRIASSIC PARQ is written by Marshall Pailet, Bryce Norbitz and Steve Wargo, with direction by Marshall Pailet, choreography by Kyle Mullins and musical direction by Zak Sandler. The cast of TRIASSIC PARQ features Lindsay Nicole Chambers, Brandon Espinoza, Wade McCollum, Claire Neumann, Lee Seymour, Shelley Thomas, and Alex Wyse. Check out a photo of the cast below!

At the Jeanne Rimsky Theatre at Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington, Christine Ebersole joked that the theme of the evening was 'death of cabaret'. It was hard to believe her as the Tony winner fantastically entertained the audience, choosing selections spanning her career on the stage as well as familiar favorites.

On Monday, April 16, Natalie Douglas brought her new concert, 'Freedom Songs,' to the Broadway at Birdland stage. The show was a celebration of the union between music and civil rights activism, and highlighted songs from the fight for equality of all people, regardless of color, religion, sexual orientation, or gender.

The Brooklyn Philharmonic announces Bushwick-based DJ Eddie Marz as winner of its community-based BEETHOVEN REMIX PROJECT. Marz was selected from five finalists who were asked to remix the finale of Beethoven's Third Symphony (the Eroica), following an open application process coordinated by musician and community organizer Sam Hillmer. Jazz Showcase has announced the return of singer/songwriter, Laury Shelley, for two shows only on Monday, April 30th at 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

The Howard Theatre, the historic arts landmark that launched the careers of Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye and The Supremes, announces their grand re-opening after a $29 million renovation and a 32-year hiatus. The Howard Theatre will re-open the week of April 9 with an opening lineup that includes Wale, Wanda Sykes, The Roots, Robert Randolph, Taj Mahal, Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def), Meshell Ndegeocello, Bad Brains, Chuck Brown, Chuck Berry, Esperanza Spalding and a weekly Sunday Brunch featuring the Harlem Gospel Choir. Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress, singer, and recording artist Leslie Uggams (On Golden Pond, King Headley II, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Anything Goes, Jerry's Girls, Hallelujah, Baby!) launched her new CD Uptown Downtown "Live at Barnes & Noble" before a standing room only crowd on Thursday, March 8 at 7 p.m. Ms. Uggams sang eight selections from her cast album, a two-CD set which contains 24 songs from her musical autobiography Uptown Downtown. She was accompanied by Don Rebic on piano, Steve Bargonetti on guitar, and Ray Kilday on bass. Following the performance Uggams also signed copies of her CD for her many fans.
