Sundance Institute screens several films in the out-of-competition Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections, as well as hosting the Special Events section and welcoming participants for two panels, at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, running today, January 22 to February 1 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The Festival is the centerpiece of the year-round public programs for the Institute, which also hosts 24 residency labs and grants more than $2.5 million to independent artists each year.

Film and television stars (and audiences) are sure to come out in droves when funny ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler take the stage for a final time (so they say!) to host the Golden Globes, tonight on NBC at 8pm/7c. Just before GIRLS' season four debut on HBO this Sunday, the network has renewed the series for a fifth season. Deadline writes that HBO's president of programming Michael Lombardo made the announcement at tonight's premiere event in New York City.

Closing Saturday, December 20 at 6pm, The Photography Show-a group show presented by The Committee + AKArt-features works by Dietmar Busse, Janine Gordon, Allie Pohl, Sepideh Salehi, Marielis Seyler, Aiden Simon, Philip Smith, Michael Tharp, and Shadi Yousefian. The images included in the exhibition seek to expand and reframe the boundaries of the medium by presenting new, experimental perspectives and commentary on gender, identity, and the photographic process itself.
