'As circus artists, we aim to show the outrageous things that our bodies can do and to surprise people as much as we can,' said Chris Lashua, artistic director of the Las Vegas based contemporary circus troupe, Cirque Mechanics. 'However, we take circus one step further by building machines that not only capture the spectacle of circus, but thrill in a whole new way.'

He shares his adventures of traveling to India to meet his guru, Maharajji, to becoming an international lecturer on 'enlightenment' to his writing a book on conscious aging and having a stroke that paralyzes his right side. With humor and humility he illuminates his search for inner peace and lasting truth and sheds light on a new understanding of aging and death. Casting has been announced for a 'first look' at select scenes and songs from the new musical adaptation of Katherine Anne Porter's classic novel, Ship of Fools, which will be presented May 12th to industry at a private residence in Manhattan. Pam Tate pens the book and score, and Tate and Erv Raible share duty on the lyrics. Hubert 'Tex' Arnold is the musical director and arranger. David Glenn Armstrong will direct the presentation.
