QPAC's Much-Awaited Glasshouse Theatre to Open Its Doors

Queensland Arts Minister John-Paul Langbroek confirmed the Glasshouse Theatre was ready to be handed over to Queensland Performing Arts Centre ahead of welcoming audiences at a highly anticipated opening season of events and performances from March.

IS THAT YOU, RUTHIE? Comes to QPAC

Queensland Performing Arts Centre in association with Oombarra Productions will present the return season of the play Is That You, Ruthie?, adapted for the stage by Leah Purcell, in the Cremorne Theatre.

Belvoir Awards 2023 Balnaves Fellowship To Guy Simon

Belvoir has announced Birripi, Worimi, Waddi Waddi and Walbunga actor and director Guy Simon as the 2023 Balnaves Foundation Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Fellow, who will receive $45,000 over an 18-month period to create a new work as a resident artist at Belvoir in 2024/25. 

Peter Cook's BREAKING THE CASTLE Comes to QPAC

Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in association with Oombarra Productions have announced the Queensland premiere of Peter Cook's compelling and uplifting one-man play, Breaking the Castle, from 24 February to 4 March 2023 in the Cremorne Theatre. 

QPAC Announces New Dates for Clancestry 2022

Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) today announced new dates for QPAC’s Clancestry – A Celebration of Country, which will now run from 13 to 28 May 2022, with the two-week program of mostly free events bringing together First Nations voices, ideas and talent through performance and professional development opportunities.  

Belvoir Awards 2020 Balnaves Foundation Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Fellowship

A $25,000 paid residency, the Balnaves Foundation Fellowship gives the Fellow the opportunity to work at Belvoir as a resident artist to create a work for the stage. It seeks to be deeply collaborative, offering an invitation to have a voice in Belvoir's artistic decision-making processes and the opportunity to support other Indigenous artists through Belvoir's creative development and programming.
