The Award winning series Cabaret Cares returns October 18th at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Cabaret Cares is a monthly cabaret series the raises awareness and funds for Help Is On The Way Today. A non for profit that helps and assists children and young adults living with HIV and AIDS. Cabaret Cares has raised and distributed over $50,000 in the first five years.

Following six sold out shows, The Laurie Beechman Theatre continued their hit series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED for a seventh installment, Friday, October 1 at 7pm. Joining the cast were four special guests, all of whom originated roles in Sondheim musicals: Len Cariou (Sweeney Todd, A Little night Music), Annie Golden (Assassins), Victoria Mallory (A Little Night Music) and Sarah Rice (Sweeney Todd).

On Halloween night, a young hipster gets freaky with a hot DJ and wonders what happens when the costumes come off; a homeless man jams to '80s rock with a broomstick; a backpacker finds herself surrounded by freaks in the Red Light District of Amsterdam; and a bike racer dons her superhero cape and rides for her life.

The one-night only performance will take place at 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 26th at the Laurie Beechman Theater in the West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue. The show features David Gurland and Brian Farley with music direction by Tracey Stark. Singer KEVIN DOZIER will bring his acclaimed cabaret show 'TAKE ME TO THE WORLD' to The Laurie Beechman Theatre at West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd Street, on Tuesday, October 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 7 PM. The evening, directed by Lennie Watts, includes songs by Maltby and Shire, Jones and Schmidt, Irving Berlin, Jerry Herman, Lerner and Loewe, Stephen Sondheim, Noel Coward, Ervin Drake, Rusty Magee, Alex Rybeck and others. Kevin debuted 'Take Me to the World' at Feinstein's earlier this year to universal raves. He returns in this extended engagement at the popular theatre-district restaurant and cabaret theatre named for Broadway's Laurie Beechman.
