Internationally acclaimed performance artist KAREN FINLEY will present a one-night-only encore engagement of her newest work WRITTEN IN SAND at The Laurie Beechman Theater on Saturday, November 22 at 7pm. WRITTEN IN SAND includes performance pieces and writings on AIDS Finley wrote between 1983 and 1994, many performed publicly for the first time when the piece premiered in early October at Baruch Performing Arts Center.

The seventh annual Living for Today: 'Shing-a-Ling: A Night with the Broadway Urchins' was held earlier this week at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St). After bringing down the house at the sixth annual concert in January 2014 with a surprise appearance, the three 'urchins' from the Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors (Carla J. Hargrove, Trisha Jeffrey, DeQuina Moore) took to the stage in a concert of their very own, featuring hits from the radio, the stage, and of course from the musical that brought them together. The concert benefits Gilana's Fund, which celebrates and encourages educational programming promoting acceptance and understanding of our communities, each other, and ourselves. Having encouraged young writers for a dozen years through its annual contest for high school playwrights, The Theater Project is once again reaching out to creative young people in its thirteenth annual Young Playwrights Competition. Winners receive cash prizes and see their work performed by professional actors at the awards ceremony in March of 2015.

If It Only Even Runs A Minute 13 is the thirteenth edition of the Bistro Award-winning series of rare songs, behind-the-scenes tales, and inspiring photos from underappreciated Broadway and off-Broadway musicals.

'Sabrina, the Teenage Witch' star Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked; Bare), Derek Klena (Dogfight; The Bridges of Madison County), current Pippin star Ariana DeBose (Bring It On; Motown), Laurissa Romain (South Pacific; co-star of the upcoming Chris Rock film Top Five), IBTA Award nominee Kimberly Faye Greenberg (Danny and Sylvia; One Night With Fanny Brice), Abigail Ludrof (Off-Broadway's Third Floor; The HVAC Plays), David Colston Corris (Avenue Q; Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), newcomer Thomas Ian Johnson, and Rachael Fogle, the original star of Tim's musical Ghostlight, have joined the cast for Realbuto's Wunderkind tour when it makes its final New York stop at Joe's Pub on Sunday, November 2nd at 7:00 PM.
