Broadway Sessions celebrated Baldwin Wallace University on Thursday night April 14th. 2016 grads joined forces with celebrated alums for a magical night of story and song and shenanigans. BW alums included Aladdin star Steel Burkhardt, Wicked alum Libby Srvais, Kinky Boots' Kyle Post and Broadway star turned television superhero Ciara Renee (Big Fish, Pippin, Hunchback of Notre Dame, CW' Legends of Tomorrow). The '16 grads made a splash with performances from high art to high camp and back again.

Following its recent 2016 Arts Organization Award from the Missouri Arts Council and five St. Louis Theater Circle Awards, STAGES St. Louis has announced casting for its celebratory 30th Anniversary Season: It Shoulda Been You, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Sister Act.

Powerhouse theatre program CCM brought the legacy to Broadway Sessions last week. Let's face it, there's not a Broadway show running without a CCM alum up in there. The 2016 graduating class performed alongside starry alums- Jessica Hendy (Cats, Aida), Max Chernin (Bright Star) and Alysha Deslorieux (Hamilton, Beautiful, Sister Act). The future of Broadway look awfully bright from where we stand. Check out these incredible performances and get excited, real excited!

? 4@15: Four New Fifteen-Minute Musicals, performed in conjunction with University of California, Irvine, will commence performances Saturday, April 16, Sunday, April 17, and Monday, April 18, for four performances only at the Royal Family Arts Centre. When accomplished concert singer and cabaret performer Lisa Jason was a child, her family moved from Long Island, New York to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and the transition would not be a happy one. A self-admitted "ugly duckling," Lisa endured relentless bullying from other kids-both mental and physical-from early grade school through her high school graduation. At a time when social media has contributed to making bullying a major American societal problem, Lisa Jason wants tell her poignant story through the music of the 1970s that she loved throughout her childhood. Her delightful voice and self-deprecating humor makes BULLIED TO BEAUTIFUL a cabaret show that audiences not only will identify with, but that will also send a powerful message that bullying needs to be stopped. Lisa premiered this show last October at the Metropolitan and now brings it to the Laurie Beechman Theatre (downstairs in the West Bank Cafe, 407 West 42nd Street (between 9th and 10th Avenues).
