Things got real big and real ORANGE on Thursday night at Broadway Sessions, as '16 Drama grads and alums for Syracuse University took the stage at Broadway Sessions. Syracuse Alums Chris Dwan (Elliot in Finding Neverland), Catherine Charlebois (long time Nessarose in Wicked) and Stephen Carrasco (Fiddler, Kinky Boots and a zillion other  shows) were on point (as the kids say). Syracuse grad heavy vocal sensation RANGE a cappella took a break from their Nickelodeon duties and racking up Hamilton YouTube views to serenade the new comers. The grads did not dissapoint as they made it clear why Syracuse is a top 5 ranked theater school.  Check out the fantastic performances here. #GOORANGE

“I . . . am a survivor,” Lisa Jason announces solemnly near the beginning of her poignant new cabaret show, Bullied to Beautiful, which premiered in its present incarnation last Wednesday night (it originally debuted last October at the Metropolitan Room) at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Uprooted at seven from Long Island to a small, homogenous, anything-but-friendly town on Cape Cod, Jason encountered relentless physical and verbal abuse at the hands of “blue-eyed, blonde-haired” kids “with alligators on their shirts.”

On Friday, June 3rd and Tuesday, June 7th at 7pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 2015 double MAC (Best Male Vocalist, LaMott/Friedman Recording) and Bistro (Outstanding Recording) Award winner Stearns Matthews will team up with pianists/composers/arrangers and twin brothers Adam and Matt Podd for "ME AND THE GERSHTWINS", a musical romp through the songs of two other uber-talented brothers: George and Ira Gershwin.

Red Caravan, a new collective of curious, kind of nerdy theater artists, launches with the world premiere RUBBERMATCH, written by Paz Pardo and directed by Andrew Willis-Woodward. RUBBERMATCH begins performances tonight, May 5 for a limited engagement through Saturday, May 21. Opening night is Monday, May 9 at 8 PM. The performance schedule is Wednesday - Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM. Please note, there are added performances on Monday, May 9 at 8 PM (opening night) and Saturday, May 14 & 21 at 3 PM; there is no performance on Wednesday, May 11.
