Bryce Pinkham, who is currently starring in 2014's Tony Award Winner for Best Musical A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, has even more then performing at the Walter Kerr Theatre eight times a week to think about. Pinkham is the co-founder of an organization called Zara Aina (meaning 'Share Life') which brings theatre to at-risk children in Madagascar. A funny thing happened on the way to Handel's MESSIAH: That would be Monty Python's LIFE OF BRIAN, transformed from the film by Eric Idle (the jokes) and John Du Prez (the music) into NOT THE MESSIAH (HE'S A VERY NAUGHTY BOY). This comic oratorio resulted in a very jolly evening, which The Collegiate Chorale brought to Carnegie Hall, under conductor and director Ted Sperling.

The reigning Tony Award-winning Best Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, will welcome a new Monty Navarro when Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham takes a temporary leave of absence to co-star in the limited Broadway enagement of The Heidi Chronicles. Assuming the role of Monty beginning on Tuesday, January 20 will be original ensemble member and Monty understudy Jeff Kready, whose other Broadway credits include Billy Elliot: The Musical and the revivals of Sunday in the Park with George and Les Miserables.

The Collegiate Chorale presents the New York City premiere of Eric Idle and John Du Prez's Not The Messiah (He's a Very Naughty Boy) at Carnegie Hall, continuing tonight, December 16, 2014 at 8pm. From the creators for the hit Broadway musical Spamalot, Not The Messiah (He's a Very Naughty Boy) is a comic oratorio based on Monty Python's movie The Life of Brian. Described by Eric Idle as 'Baroque-N-Roll,' Not The Messiah features a lively pastiche of musical styles ranging from pop, country, and Broadway to doo-wop, hip hop, and Greek chorus. Hit songs include 'Hail to the Shoe,' 'We Love Sheep,' and the audience favorite and sing-along 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.' BroadwayWorld brings yo photos of the cast in action below!
