LA Children's Chorus Salon Plays A Holiday Salon At Dorothy Chandler Pavilion

The Los Angeles Children's Chorus (LACC) showcases its elite Chamber Singers with four of its esteemed alumni - now celebrated emerging artists - at a special Holiday Salon Concert, conducted by Artistic Director Anne Tomlinson, on Sunday, December 19, 2010, 4 p.m., at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion's Salon C.

Tenor Paul Appleby Performs At Alice Tully Hall 11/30

Tenor Paul Appleby is joined by pianist Brian Zeger for a solo recital as the winner of Juilliard's 14th annual Alice Tully Vocal Arts Recital Award on November 30 at 8 PM in Alice Tully Hall (Broadway at 65th Street). The program features Schubert's song cycle, 'Die schöne Müllerin', on poems by Wilhelm Müller.

20th-Century Opera Takes Center Stage in New York City Opera's 2010-2011 Season

New York City Opera General Manager and Artistic Director George Steel today announced the company's 2010-2011 season, which spotlights American composers and 20th-century works within a mix of world premieres, New York premieres and new productions. Offering audiences the opportunity to experience new and rarely performed operas as well as modern interpretations of traditional repertoire, the 2010-2011 season will also feature the launch of a concert series showcasing the non-operatic works of several of the composers of this season's operas. Taking advantage of the possibilities offered by the recent renovation of the company's home, the David H. Koch Theater, the concert series expands the repertoire and programming of City Opera and casts new light on the season's productions.

PANDORA'S BOX Opens at NYMF

Kerry Butler, Deidre Goodwin, James Patrick Stuart and Tom McGowan will star in the NYMF 2010's Production of Pandora's Box - A New Musical Play with Music and Lyrics by Glen Roven, Book by Maria S. Schlatter, and Directed by Gary Halvorson and Wayne Cilento. The show will run at Theater St. Clements (423 West 46th) with performances on October 8, 9, 11, 13, 14 and 16th.

New York City Opera Continues Partnership with the Schomburg Center in 2011

Karen Ziemba, David Bishins & More Lead Old Globe's Neil Simon Plays

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the cast and creative team for Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs and Broadway Bound. Performed in repertory, Simon's semi-autobiographical plays follow the life of Eugene Morris Jerome from the foibles of youth in late-1930s Brooklyn to a career as a comedy writer for radio.

'Golda's Balcony' Starring Feldshuh Closes at Old Globe Theatre, 5/30

Executive Producer Lou Spisto has announced that due to unforeseen conflicts with Roger Rees' schedule, The Old Globe's upcoming production of What You Will has been replaced with Golda's Balcony starring four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh. Written by William Gibson and supervised by Scott Schwartz, Golda's Balcony earned Feldshuh a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress, and is the longest running one-woman show in Broadway history. Golda's Balcony will runin the Old Globe Theatre April 28 - May 30. Previews run April 28 - May 1. Opening night is Saturday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are currently available to subscribers only.
