The Daily Mail writes that Duncan Macmillan's play PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS will move from the National Theatre's Dorfman to Wyndham's Theatre this coming March. Performances will begin after Martin McDonagh's HANGMEN ends its run at the venue.
New and up and coming theatre company, Split Second Productions are bringing two original pieces that will play in rep at theSpace @ Surgeons Hall in the Grand Theatre at this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The two pieces are set a century apart and take a look at the social and political issues in 1985 and a post-apocalyptic world in 2085.
A reception at 6:30 precedes the ceremony, which will begin at 7:30. All are welcome to attend the free event, which is fast becoming the theater-networking event in the state.

Perhaps the most poignant presentations made by The 52nd Street Project are those in its semi-annual Playmaking series, which features the Project's youngest Hell's Kitchen mentees-ten year-olds who have just begun their theatrical education-writing for accomplished professional actors and director-dramaturgs, and revealing their work to a public audience for the first time. Edie Falco and other accomplished actors, working with directors including Felix Solis and James Yaegashi, will perform in Out on a Limb: Plays that Branch Out, the Project's newest Playmaking show.
From the 52nd edition of Salone del Intern Mobile, Design Miami/ Basel and W Hotels Worldwide today announced the winners of the 2013 W Hotels Designers of the Future Award. The 2013 winners include Seung-Yong Song from Korea, Canadian Jon Stam and Bethan Laura Woodfrom the United Kingdom. An evolution of the Award, this year for the first time the winning designers were sent to specific new or renovating W Hotels to solve for a specific design challenge or need. The newly commissioned works will be unveiled at Design Miami/ Basel (June 11-16, 2013) and later installed at W Hotels in Verbier, Bangkok and Mexico City.
